    Abstract: An ultrasonic probe assembly in which the disposition of the scan plane of an ultrasonic transducer is achieved using a linear actuator. The scan plane is selected by operation of a remote control unit which, through cables, controls the linear actuators and associated gears and, thus, the rotation of the ultrasonic transducer.
