  • Patent number: 11821279
Abstract: A tensioning system includes a combined rope gripper and tension cylinder. A rope passes through the combined rope gripper and tension cylinder. Once the length and/or tension of the rope has been adjusted, a reel lock handle can be actuated to prevent further rotation of the reel. The combined rope gripper and tension cylinder can be actuated to hold the rope. The combined rope gripper and tension cylinder can also be actuated to reduce or prevent the release of tension in the rope.

  • Patent number: 11691320
Abstract: An apparatus for molding a foam pad with a wire assembly for an automotive vehicle includes a mold bowl operably coupled to a mold lid to define a mold cavity therebetween. The mold bowl includes a bottom surface and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from and encircling the bottom surface. A plurality of wire holders extend inwardly from and are spaced around the peripheral wall for vertically positioning the wire assembly within the mold cavity. A holding element, such as an arcuate recess, is disposed along an upper ledge of at least one of the wire holders for horizontally positioning the wire assembly within the mold cavity. The mold cavity receives a foam material for filling the mold cavity and surrounding the wire assembly to form the foam pad with the wire assembly embedded therein.

  • Patent number: 11560205
Abstract: A lifting system includes elevator towers constructed on a deck of a floating vessel, tracks constructed above the deck of the floating vessel, a traveling cradle beam, and one or more cranes supported by the traveling cradle beam. The traveling cradle beam can be in a first configuration in which the traveling cradle beam is coupled to the elevator towers and can move along the elevator towers past the tracks, and in a second configuration in which the traveling cradle beam is decoupled from the elevator towers and can skid over the tracks. The lifting system can be constructed in stages, and the portion of the lifting system constructed in the initial stages can be used to continue constructing the lifting system in the remaining stages. The lifting system can be used for transporting equipment on the floating vessel.

  • Patent number: 11312454
Abstract: A lashing system is usable on cargo ships that are transporting shipping containers, optionally as a supplement to standard lashing bridges provided on cargo ships. The lashing system includes a support that can interface with the pre-existing interlocking system provided on the shipping containers. The support can be lifted and placed on a stack of shipping containers using the same cranes used for loading and unloading shipping containers. The lashing system includes lashings that are attached to the support and are releasably connectable to another shipping container or to a structure of the cargo ship. The tension in the lashings is preferably monitored during the trips of the cargo ships.

  • Patent number: 10767704
Abstract: A repair axial bearing system includes an arcuate rail coupled to a support, one or more bolts protruding upward from a raised portion coupled to a supported member, and a lever plate including at least one low friction bearing pad mounted in the lever plate. A first new bearing surface is formed on the arcuate rail. A second new bearing surface is formed on the at least one low friction bearing pad. The one or more bolts are tensioned with bolt tensioners to press the lever plate against the raised portion. The axial bearing system can include a hydraulic cylinder to slide the second bearing surface over the first bearing surface. The repair axial bearing system can be used to supplant a damaged axial bearing positioned between an FPSO and a turret.

  • Publication number: 20070040156
Abstract: An apparatus that attaches to the end of the electrical fish tape to eliminate or reduce drag and friction while the fish tape is pushed through bends in electrical pipe with a roller attached to the end of an electrical fish tape or snake to drastically reduce friction and drag when the fish tape or snake is being pushed through bends in electrical pipe. The roller is designed to rotate when coming into contact with the inner pipe wall at any position. Inner bearing further magnifies roll, takes advantage of the flat side of the fish tape to position the roller going into and through the bend for optimum roll.

  • Patent number: 5746626
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly facilitates the establishment of an electrical connection with a terminal on an electrical component when the component and the connector assembly are brought toward each other with the connector assembly in a first orientation relative to the component, and for inhibiting the establishment of an electrical connection with the terminal on the electrical component when the component and the connector assembly are brought toward each other with the connector assembly in a second orientation relative to the component, opposite the first direction.
