    Abstract: Data is wiped from a solid-state drive (SSD). Properties of the SSD, including page size of the SSD, are determined. A pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) is initialized with a first seed value. Random-like data is generated as output of the PRNG. Write commands are sent to the SSD to write the output of the PRNG while ensuring that each of the write commands contains at least one page of PRNG output to be written to the SSD that is different from any previously-written page of PRNG output to the SSD.
