  • Patent number: 7059733
Abstract: A display apparatus is provided which can display different text/image information depending on the viewing angle and the viewer, display a high reality three-dimensional image viewable from any direction and realize stereoscopic viewing without glasses or the like. The display apparatus includes a display unit having a view angle-limiting filter on its surface, a rotary mechanism to rotate the display unit and a control unit which implements control so that when the display unit, rotated by the rotary mechanism, is faced to each of plural directions, the display unit displays a different text/image content associated with the direction.

  • Patent number: 7059729
Abstract: A display apparatus comprises a screen which can rotate and provides a part for controlling view angle, a mirror group which comprises a plurality of mirrors arrayed in a ring form along a surface of a circular cone which sets a central axis as an axis of rotation of the screen, and a plurality of electronic projectors arranged at positions where oppose to mirror faces of the mirrors comprising the mirror group and project different image divisions representing different sides of an object to the different mirror faces, wherein each of the electronic projectors is arranged so as to project the image division to the mirror group, and each of the mirrors is arranged on optical path of optical system which the image division projected from the electronic projector is reflected on the mirror face and is projected to the screen.

  • Publication number: 20060055792
Abstract: In an imaging system that can take a picture of an object to be captured in a plurality of directions at the same time, and automatically track the object even if the object moves around, the imaging devices are moved in association with each other. An imaging system has an area in which an object being captured is placed, a plurality of imaging devices, or cameras for captured different sides of the object, the imaging devices, or cameras being connected together through a communication path to take a picture of the sides of the object from a plurality of directions, and control means provided so that, when one of the cameras tracks the object, the remaining cameras can be controlled to automatically change their pan, tilt and focus settings and track the object.

  • Publication number: 20060055887
Abstract: It is made possible to view a high-resolution clear stereoscopic image from any direction without taking the projection timing of two-dimensional images into consideration. First and second polygonal mirrors each including mirrors arranged in a ring form around a rotation axis of a screen are disposed. An electronic projector is disposed on an extended line of the rotation axis of the screen so as to be opposed to mirror surfaces of the polygonal mirrors. The electronic projector emits concentrically arranged first and second frame image groups each including frame images arranged in a ring form. The first and second frame image groups are reflected respectively by the first and second polygonal mirrors and projected onto the rotating screen. As the screen rotates, each of the first and second image groups is projected onto the screen and displayed in order from frame image to frame image.
