    Abstract: A process for treating incinerable waste comprises grinding the incinerable waste into small particle size, delivering the ground incinerable waste by means of a carrying gas to the lower part of a molten silica bath and pouring said molten silica containing said waste into a container in order to form a solidifying mass. The process is used to treat incinerable waste comprising organic substances and mineral substances containing radionuclides.
