Abstract: According to one embodiment, a color signal converting apparatus includes: a minimum value detecting section detecting a minimum value signal having a smallest value among a plurality of input color signals; a difference extracting section extracting a difference between the minimum value signal detected by the minimum value detecting section and a reference value; a difference adding section adding the difference extracted by the difference extracting section to each of the plural color signals; and a saturation converting section converting saturation of each of the plural color signals to which the difference is added, according to a ratio of brightness of the plural input color signals and brightness of the plural color signals to which the difference is added by the difference adding section.

Abstract: A video display device including a receiving unit which receives a video signal, a signal processing unit which subjects the video signal received by the receiving unit to predetermined signal processing, a display unit which displays the video signal output from the signal processing unit, a recording and reproducing unit which stores the video signal output from the signal processing unit, an image information extracting unit which extracts information of a program received by the receiving unit, an image processing control unit which controls the signal processing performed by the signal processing unit, and a program management list setting unit which links information of a program to be first viewed, which is extracted by the program information extracting unit, with the image processing control information set by the image processing control unit.

Abstract: Having received a pseudo HDTV picture signal obtained by upwardly converting a composite format picture signal which conforms to an SDTV picture format and adding side panel images, a television receiving apparatus causes a down converter to convert the received pseudo HDTV picture signal into an SDTV picture format. Then, the television receiving apparatus causes a picture processing section to apply a three-dimensional YC separation processing to the converted signal, thereby reducing a cross color interference or a dot interference with high performance and improve an image quality. Then, the improved image is converted into an HDTV picture format by the up converter, and the converted image is displayed as a picture.

Abstract: In a synchronization control circuit according to the present invention, an image can smoothly be switched to another without distortion due to switching between sync signals to be displayed. The phases of sync signals of input video signals A and B are compared with each other in a phase difference detecting section, and the sync signal of one (B) of the signals is matched with that of the other signal A. When signal A is switched to signal B, an image is displayed in response to the corrected sync signal of signal B (corresponding to the sync signal matched with that of signal A). As a result, the synchronization state of signal A is maintained on a display screen, and the image can smoothly be switched without distortion.

Abstract: A rotary snapping device arranged so that a vertical motion and snapping rotary motion of a snap can be controlled by a single driving motor to simplify the entire structure and to give an excellent performance and function. This snapping device is provided with a manual operating means which can have the above mentioned vertical motion and rotary motion of the snap performed by hand, a manual adjusting means which can optimumly set the working position of the snap and an indicating means which can indicate the moving position in the vertical direction of the snap.
