    Abstract: A service provider's server (SPS) receives dynamically address data and service attributes of available billing services and servers on telecommunication networks, such as the Internet, in advertising messages (DAAvert) which billing servers (BS1, BS2, BS3) or special directory servers (DA) send. The service provider's server (SPS) can select one billing service from among the available billing servers for the billing transaction of a client on the basis of the parameters given by the client and said service attributes or offer advertised billing services for the client to select. Then the service provider's server initiates the billing transaction with the billing server of the selected billing service by means of said address data and service attributes or transfers billing to the selected billing server which performs it.

    Abstract: A telecommunications system comprising a broadband and a narrower-band wired network for transmitting broadcast and on-demand services, and a network adapter between these two. The narrower-band wired network is used for relaying services to terminals which are connected to a transceiver in a wireless telecommunications network. The network adapter is in turn connected to a base station in the wireless telecommunications network, data transmission from the terminal to the broadband wired network being arranged to take place through the network adapter in the wireless telecommunications network. The network adapter or a network control device connected to the broadband network is additionally arranged to generate signalling parameters needed for connection set-up in the wireless telecommunications network for transmission to the terminal in a multiplexed service broadcast.

    Abstract: A method in a wireless telecommunication system using code division multiple access technology, which system comprises a telecommunication switching center, a transmitter and a receiver, in which method the telecommunication switching center defines an identifier for the transmitter on the basis of the location of the transmitter and the transmitter defines a traffic channel identifier for the radio link traffic channel between said transmitter and said receiver on the basis of the location of the receiver. In the system, the channels of the radio link between the transmitter and the receiver are distinguished from each other by code sequences, and the code sequences used are defined according to the location information of the transmitter and the receiver. The definition of the location information of the transmitter and the receiver is performed by means of a satellite positioning system.
