    Abstract: The present invention provides a CAR comprising a) an antigen binding domain specific for an antigen, b) a spacer, c) a transmembrane domain, and d) an intracellular signaling domain, wherein said spacer consists of 1, 2 or 3 C2-set Ig-like domain(s). Said C2-set Ig-like domain(s) may be selected from the group of C2-set Ig-like domains of the sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin (Siglec) family. A composition comprising a) an immune cell expressing said CAR, wherein said CAR is specific for a tag and b) a tagged polypeptide is also disclosed.
