  • Publication number: 20240127277
Abstract: In general, this disclosure is directed to determining an optimal markup policy for a third party delivery service. One aspect is a method for dynamically optimizing prices by a third party delivery service, the method comprising retrieving item information for a plurality of items including pricing data, the plurality of items being sold by a retailer and available for delivery by the third party delivery service, simulating a plurality of markup policies with a neural network trained to identify non-linear price-demand relationships between the plurality of items, determining, as part of simulating the plurality of markup policies, an optimal markup policy for the third party delivery service, and providing a user interface to a customer computing device, the user interface displaying at least some of the plurality of items for delivery by the third party delivery service with prices reflecting the optimal markup policy.

  • Patent number: 10691700
Abstract: A replicated storage system allocates tables to storage clusters to balance the usage of resources in the replicated storage system. The replicated storage system determines the query load of the stored tables and generates candidate table allocations based on the query loads. The candidate table allocations are generated based on table allocation criteria based on the popularity of the tables or whether the tables are related to other tables. The replicated storage system determines resource parameters for each candidate table allocation and generates a resource usage score for each candidate table allocation based on a utility function that is weighted based on priorities of the resources used by the replicated storage system. The replicated storage system selects a table allocation from the candidate table allocations based on the resource usage scores of the candidate table allocations and allocates table replicas to the storage clusters.

  • Patent number: 10645419
Abstract: The present application relates to a system for verifying integrity of a stream of image frames including an encoder logic module and a decoder logic module. On source side, a test line insertion logic module receiving the stream is arranged upstream to the encoder logic module encoding the stream. The test line insertion logic module is configured to include one or more test lines into the image frames. A color coding is assigned to the one or more test lines. The color coding is selected from a coding scheme. On destination side, a test line detection and extraction logic module is arranged downstream to the decoder logic module receiving the encoded stream. The test line detection and extraction logic module extracts the color coding from the received image frames and verifies extracted coding data against the coding scheme. The coding data comprises at least the extracted color coding.

  • Patent number: 10210089
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling data flow by storing variable length encoded information bits in a circular buffer in a write operation to a virtual write address comprising a first wrap bit value appended by a current write address within the buffer address range and generating an interrupt alarm if the virtual write address crosses a virtual alarm address comprising a second wrap bit value appended by an alarm address within the buffer address range, where the first and second wrap bit values each toggle between first and second values every time the current write address or alarm address, respectively, wraps around the circular buffer, thereby synchronizing data flow in the circular buffer and/or preventing buffer overflow.

  • Publication number: 20170070768
Abstract: A video stream decoder for decoding a multiple parallel-input video streams from multiple video cameras permits continuance of the decoding process even if one of the streams has stalled or if a start code of a currently active stream has become corrupted. A counter triggers a stream switching module to switch to a different input video stream on a round-robin or priority basis after a preset time period elapsed if no start code of a currently active stream has been detected.

  • Patent number: 8250214
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for communicating with a private network are described. An application of a client is monitored for communications intended for a node coupled to a private network. A communication from the monitored application of the client that is intended for the node may then be intercepted before the communication can be received by the transport layer of the client, the intercepted communication may then be sent with a connection identifier to an interface unit coupled to the private network via an established network connection over a public network. The connection identifier also associated with a communication link that is established over the private network between the interface unit and the node. The interface unit uses the connection identifier that is received with the communication to identify the associated communication link over the private network.
