Patent number: 8047535Abstract: An apparatus and a method for successively conveying a series of sheets are disclosed. The apparatus has a first conveyer for conveying a sheet in a sheet conveying direction at a first speed and a second conveyer disposed spaced vertically away from the first conveyer for conveying the sheet in the same direction at a second speed. The second conveyer has a region overlapping with the first conveyer at least for a distance corresponding to a dimension of the sheet, e.g. the width of veneer sheet, as measured in the sheet conveying direction. A suction mechanism is disposed in said overlapping region for transferring by suction the sheet in the entirety of its dimension from the first conveyer to the second conveyer and holding by suction the sheet against the second conveyer. The sheet is further moved by the second conveyer, e.g. to a sheet stacking station.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2009Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignee: Meinan Machinery Works, Inc.Inventors: Ritsuo Nishimura, Hideki Akita

Patent number: 5123807Abstract: A system for stacking veneer sheets conveyed from two different directions includes a lower mechanism for carrying a first veneer sheet to a first position above a stack support and an upper mechanism for carrying a second sheet to a second position above the first position. The first veneer sheet carried to the first position may not be dropped immediately, but waits for the second veneer sheet to be dropped thereon from the second position, and then the first and second veneer sheets may be dropped as one body on the stack support. The lower carry mechanism includes a carry roller and a sheet carrier which may be moved substantially synchronously. However, the sheet carrier is moved through a stopper away from the carry roller when the veneer sheets are to be freed from the support thereof by the sheet carrier.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1991Date of Patent: June 23, 1992Assignee: Meinan Machinery Works, Inc.Inventors: Toshinori Nakaoda, Teruaki Aoto, Nagara Aoyama, Tsuyoshi Nakamura, Ritsuo Nishimura

Patent number: 5115159Abstract: A built-in generator arranged within a hub of a bicycle wheel including a hub member of a wheel rotatably fitted on an axle fixed to a frame of the bicycle, a stationary hollow cylinder fixed to the axle in the hub member, a generating coil unit provided in the stationary hollow cylinder and fixed thereto, a rotor formed integrally with a magnet rotatably provided on the axle, and a planetary transmission device for transmitting rotation of the hub member to the axle at increased speeds. The planetary transmission device is formed of at least one planetary roller device which includes a sun roller integral with the magnet and rotatably provided on the axle, a plurality of planet rollers arranged to be circumscribed on the sun roller, a planet carrier rotatably supporting the planet rollers, and an elastic ring circumscribing on the planet rollers. The planet rollers are in pressure-contact with the elastic ring and the sun roller.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1990Date of Patent: May 19, 1992Assignee: Bridgestone Cycle Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kikuzo Takamiya, Ritsuo Nishimura

Patent number: 4920827Abstract: A stepless speed change device has an input shaft and an output shaft. The device inlcudes a planetary carrier proviced at an inner end of the input shaft, a sun gear provided at an inner end of the output shaft to be in mesh with planet gears carried on the planetary carrier, and an internal gear in mesh with the planet gears to form a planetary gear. The device further includes a driven rotor rotatable about the input shaft and in the form of a hollow cylinder having flanges at both ends and concentrically connected to the internal gear, a driving rotor enclosing the driven rotor and including two members connected to the input shaft on both sides of the driven rotor, and an intermediate friction transmission ring whose eccentricity is adjustable and interposed between the flanges of the driven rotor and between the two members of the driving rotor for transmitting rotating power therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1989Date of Patent: May 1, 1990Assignee: Bridgestone Cycle Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kikuzo Takamiya, Yoshitaka Tamura, Yoichi Shibayama, Ritsuo Nishimura, Kiyofumi Hirai, Hiromitsu Serizawa

Patent number: 4579360Abstract: A foldable bicycle frame includes a substantially vertical center tube at a mid portion of a bicycle frame, an upper center tube and a lower center tube to be partially fitted in upper and lower ends of the center tube, respectively. A front half of the bicycle frame includes the center tube and a rear half of the bicycle frame include the upper and lower center tubes, thereby enabling the front and rear halves to be folded or extended about the vertical center tube into a folded position or running position. The bicycle frame comprises radially annularly arranged continuous V-shaped teeth on connection surfaces of the upper and lower center tubes and the center tubes, and clamping means for clamping the center tube and the upper and lower center tubes in engagement with the teeth on the connection surfaces, thereby enabling the bicycle frame to be folded or extended by releasing and then clamping the center tubes.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1984Date of Patent: April 1, 1986Assignee: Bridgestone Cycle Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ritsuo Nishimura, Nobuaki Shimada
