Abstract: A variable displacement pump, and methods of manufacturing such systems are provided. The variable displacement pump can include a housing defining an inlet and an outlet, a rotor positioned between the inlet and the outlet, the rotor being configured to pump a liquid between the inlet and the outlet, and the rotor having a multiple of vane slots, a multiple of vanes, each disposed in a respective one of the multiple of vane slots, and a pendulum positioned between the rotor and the housing, the pendulum comprising a pendulum body and a stiffener, wherein the stiffener is located at least partially within the pendulum body, and wherein the rotor, the multiple of vanes, and the pendulum body are made of a polymer.

Abstract: The present invention lies in the field of mechanical engineering and describes a discharge acoustic filter. Specifically, the present invention includes a discharge acoustic filter, optionally made of polymeric material in which the connections between the discharge chambers are internally disposed, in order to reduce the surface area of the discharge acoustic filter, reducing heat exchange in relation to the hermetic volume, thus, increasing thermal efficiency and reducing the energy consumption of the system.
