  • Publication number: 20180376448
Abstract: A system and method enhances Wi-Fi protocol by transmitting an Internet-of-Things (IoT) notification map designated for an IoT device. The IoT notification map having format of at least part of a beacon frame and be included in an IoT beacon frame that, when transmitted by at least one router, causes the IoT device to perform an operation indicated in the IoT notification map. The at least one router may be part of the router cluster designated for the IoT device. The router cluster may include a subset of a plurality of routers within a geographical area associated with a location of the IoT device.

  • Patent number: 9367718
Abstract: A system and method for enabling low-powered RFID communication that includes at an RFID tag listening for a periodic signal containing beacon signals; synchronizing the internal clock to those beacon signals; identifying access points from the beacon signals; selecting an access point; sending a join request to the access point; identifying the tag to the access point; receiving an assigned time slot; and communicating with the access point in that time slot.

  • Patent number: 9207812
Abstract: A method for adjusting the position of a light curtain emitted by an illumination assembly over a surface, comprises determining a position of the light curtain; calculating a difference between the determined position of the light curtain and a desired position of the light curtain; and adjusting the position of the illumination assembly based on the calculated difference.

  • Publication number: 20140267193
Abstract: A method of determining pointer position in an interactive input system comprises identifying pixels of at least one captured image frame as being associated with coherent light; generating a processed image frame from the identified pixels; and determining from the processed image frame a position of at least one pointer that emits coherent light.
