Cloning services described herein may facilitate the generation of cloned virtual machines which may be made available (e.g., run and/or accessed) before all data utilized by the cloned virtual machine had been copied into local storage of the computing node hosting the cloned virtual machine. This may facilitate more expeditious availability of a cloned virtual machine while providing for data transfer at a later time.
