Abstract: A system and method for providing curated content items is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a method includes selecting a first set of content items from a plurality of available content items provided by a plurality of content provider servers, providing the first set of content items to a second user account included in a subscriber account, the subscriber account including a first user account and the second user account, providing a curation interface to the second user account on a second user portal that displays on a user device, the curation interface displaying information on the first set of content items, receiving a curation instruction that is configured by the second user account via the curation interface, selecting a second set of content items from the first set of content items based upon the curation instruction, and providing the second set of content items to the first user account on a first user portal that displays on the user device.

The overlay system controls access to application programs and provides a first user interface and a second operating environment associated with a second user interface. Optionally, the overlay system provides a first operating environment associated with the first user interface. The overlay system includes an access control configured to permit or deny a request for access in the second operating environment to resources and/or data. Optionally, the overlay system is executed in the application framework layer of the operating system and may comprise a hypervisor providing an operating platform comprising the first user interface, the second operating environment, and an application space providing access to the application layer.

Abstract: An apparatus converts written marks on a writing surface into a digital form. According to one embodiment, the apparatus includes a writing portion configured to create a physical mark on a surface and a recording portion configured to capture the physical mark. The apparatus further includes a processor configured to process the physical mark and generate a digital mark from the physical mark, a memory for storing the digital mark, and a transmitter to transmit a digital image of the captured mark to an external device.

The stored instructions may additionally include instructions for determining whether the ID read from the physical key is included on a list of paired physical keys.
