    Abstract: The invention relates to a new class of isolated, single or multiple mutated glutaryl amidases from Pseudomonas SY-77, or a functional part, derivative or analogue thereof. The invention also relates to a method for preparing 7-aminocephalosporanic acid from cephalosporin C, using a glutaryl amidase according to the invention. The invention also provides a method for preparing aminodesacetoxycephalosporanic acid.
