  • Patent number: 4958421
Abstract: Venetian blind ladder means are provided in which first and second cross elements (4,5) of each cross connections of the ladder are located whereby the height of the projection of every pair of elements on a plane through the longitudinal side member axes ranges between zero and slightly larger than the depth of the blind slat material and the distance between the side members (3a,3b) of the ladder is only slightly greater than the slat width. During assembly, the ladder means are guided so that, at the location of interlacing, each consecutive interlacing opening is angled to extend in a plane perpendicular to the plane of slat feed or at an angle so that the projection of the mutual spacing between elements (4,5) in this perpendicular plant is sufficiently large to allow the advancing slat to be easily and rapidly fed therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4723586
Abstract: A venetian blind suitable for mounting in a space between two panes (16,17) of a multiple glazed window assembly (16,17) and comprising upper and lower supporting members (31, 32) between which are mounted the slat supporting means, such as a ladder tape. The supporting member (31,32) carries drive members (47) which are positively driven by a flexible drive element (55), which in turn is driven by an actuating member (58,59) located between the panes (16,17) and an operating element (68) is mounted outside the inner pane (17). The upper and lower supporting members (31,32) are mounted on supporting clips (25) which are held in place by being pushed fitted into upper and lower carriers (14,15) carried by the upper and lower window frame parts (12,13).

  • Patent number: 4685502
Abstract: A multiple-glazed window assembly is described in which a tilting mechanism unit (40) is secured to one side frame member (10). A venetian blind assembly including upper and lower supporting members (31, 32) is mounted on carriers (14,15) carried by the upper and lower frame members (12,13) by snap-fit pivotal securing elements (25) and connecting means (75) on the upper and lower supporting elements (31,32) are advanced to engage connecting means (58) on the tilting mechanism unit (40).

  • Patent number: 4667723
Abstract: A cord lock for a blind, such as a venetian blind in which the body 10 is inserted in an aperture 12 in headrail 14. The body is retained by a U-shaped metal element 40, at least one of the two legs, 44, 46 of which serve the purpose, in addition to holding the body in the headrail, of acting as a wear resistant guide for the cords 25 to be locked. The other leg can be used as a cord separator.
