    Abstract: A method of submitting insurance reports or claims over the Internet is provided. In one embodiment, a transmitter client submits a claim file or report over the Internet to a transmitter/reporter database on a remote server. The transmitter/reporter database performs certain checks and edits of the received claim file or report, and then transmits the claim file or report to the appropriate state or jurisdiction. Upon receipt of the claim file or report, the jurisdiction will transmit back to the transmitter/reporter database an acknowledgement for each claim record within the report. The transmitter/reporter database performs certain checks on the acknowledgement file and then transmits the acknowledgements back to the inbox of the transmitter client.
