  • Patent number: 11820509
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a method where retractable ducts or shrouds are extended over propeller(s) that are fixed in wing channels on an aircraft during takeoff and landing to increase flight safety and efficiency. Fully extending the duct or shroud during takeoff increases lift and upward thrust, while retracting the duct or shroud and stowing the duct or shroud inside of the wing during forward cruise decreases aircraft drag and increases lift. Duct or shroud extension during takeoff also enables critical safety and noise cancellation functionality. The method provided for safe and efficient takeoff can be applied in reverse order for safe and efficient landing.

  • Publication number: 20230370294
Abstract: Techniques for providing using software applications within persistent hybrid virtual collaborative workspaces are provided. In an example, a method establishes a virtual collaborative workspace characterized by or more virtual collaborative workspace resources and associated with one or more users to interact with other users or collaborative workspace resources within the virtual collaborative workspace. The method further receives, from a client device associated with a first user associated with the virtual space, an identification of an application to use in the virtual collaborative workspace. The method, based on the receiving, adds the application to the virtual collaborative workspace and configures the application to access one or more resources associated with the virtual collaborative workspace. The method further provides access to the application within the virtual collaborative workspace to at least a subset of the users associated with the virtual collaborative workspace.

  • Publication number: 20230357793
Abstract: Recombinant oncolytic viruses that produce and secrete novel immunomodulatory fusion proteins are described. The fusion proteins encode a single chain variable fragment antibody (ScFv) that specifically binds PD-1 OR PD-L1 fused via an antibody Fc region to the ectodomain of the TGF? receptor II (TGF?RIIecto). The immunomodulatory fusion proteins have dual function: blocking inhibitory pathways mediated by PD-1/PD-L1 and blocking the immune-dampening activity of TGF?. In addition, dual gene oncolytic herpes simplex viruses (HSVs) are provided that include, in addition to a gene encoding an ScFv-Fc-TGF?RIIecto fusion protein, a gene encoding IL12, a T cell stimulatory factor.

  • Patent number: 11810808
Abstract: An apparatus and method for facilitating the removal of layers from a die for an integrated circuit while maintaining the planarity of the surface of the die by avoiding rounding the corners and other edges of the die. A pocket is created in a sacrificial material, such that when the die is inserted into the pocket the edges of the die are contiguous with the walls of the pocket and a top surface of the die is coplanar with a top surface of the pocket. The sacrificial material may be the same material as the die. An adhesive substance is placed in the pocket, and the die is inserted into the pocket and against the adhesive substance which aids in retaining the die in the pocket. The layers may then be removed from the die and the sacrificial material around the die without rounding the edges of the die.
