  • Publication number: 20200058403
Abstract: This description provides trigger identification notifications to patients suffering from respiratory diseases based on large amounts of patient data in order to help effect behavior changes in a patient to prevent inhaler rescue usage events from occurring. Rescue medication events, environmental conditions, and other contextually relevant patient information are detected by sensors associated with the patient's medicament devices and are collected from other sources, respectively to provide a basis to determine identify various triggers of rescue inhaler usage events for a patient. Each trigger is analyzed to determine the severity of the patient's reaction to the trigger and is used to send notifications accordingly.

  • Patent number: 10488232
Abstract: A rotameter includes a rotameter body including an inlet, an outlet, and a flow channel that provides fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet. A valve for controlling fluid flow through the inlet includes an actuator rotatable about a first axis. The actuator includes worm gear threads. The valve also includes a valve drive element rotatable about a second axis that extends transverse to the first axis. The valve drive element includes worm gear teeth that mate with the worm gear threads on the actuator so that rotation of the actuator about the first axis imparts rotation of the valve drive element about the second axis. The valve drive element further includes first screw threads that rotate with the valve drive element about the second axis. The first screw threads are configured and arranged to mate with and engage second screw threads to cause linear movement of a valve component along the second axis in response to rotation of the valve drive element.

  • Publication number: 20190272925
Abstract: A respiratory disease analytics system provides respiratory disease risk reports to a patient, provider, or third-party entity describing a patient's risk of experiencing a medication usage event given data in a geographic region. Regional data, including air pollutant conditions, weather conditions, demographic information, built environment factors, and regional health conditions for a geographic region are accessed from other sources and assigned based on event data recorded during a medicament usage event, as collected by sensors associated with the patient's medicament device/s. The regional data is assigned to medicament usage events occurring within a period of time. The assigned regional data is analyzed to determine an expected number of medication usage events for the geographic region occurring over the period of time.

  • Patent number: 10359382
Abstract: A humidity sensor arrangement for providing temperature compensated measurements. A first sensor is configured internal to a housing for the sensor arrangement, and a second sensor is configured external to the housing. The first sensor measures a first relative humidity at a first temperature, and the second sensor measures second temperature external. A processor determines saturation pressures for the first and second sensors and compensates the first sensor by adjusting the relative humidity for the first sensor to be a product of the relative humidity for the first sensor and a ratio of the saturation pressure of the first and second sensors. Further compensation may be produced by applying a time-based filter algorithm to the outputs of the first and second sensors. Temperature sensors can be compensated to determine room temperature and compensated temp can be used for precise humidity compensation.

  • Patent number: 9811989
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting an occurrence of an event of interest. The apparatus comprises a surveillance system, a detector, and an analyzer. The surveillance system monitors subjects within an environment to generate monitoring data. The detector detects a number of indicator instances exhibited by at least a portion of the subjects using the monitoring data. Each of the number of indicator instances is an instance of a corresponding event indicator in a set of pre-selected event indicators. The analyzer evaluates the number of indicator instances and additional information to determine whether at least a portion of the number of indicator instances meets an event detection threshold, thereby indicating a detection of an occurrence of an event of interest.

  • Patent number: 9773107
Abstract: Methods and systems described herein relate to enhancing security on a device by configuring one or more software functions in a trusted zone of a processor using object firewalls, IPC mechanisms, and/or a policy engine. An inter-process communication mechanism and inter-process communication bus enable secure inter-process communication between inter-process communication applications within the trusted zone and inter-process communication applications external to the trusted zone. Adapting, filtering, blocking, redirecting, or otherwise modifying inter-process communications is enabled by the inter-process communications mechanism. Modifications may be controlled by a policy engine within the trusted zone.

  • Publication number: 20170259864
Abstract: The device is used to allow any bicycle to have seat height adjustment controlled by the rider while the bicycle is in motion. Seat height is adjustable to suit the needs of the operator. The device will provide up to 6 inches of adjustment range. The lower portion of the device has 2 rails sized and space the same as on all bicycle seats. This allows the unit to be mounted to any style, size and type of seat-post/seat-clamp combination manufactured since 1960. The upper portion of the unit is designed to accept any bicycle seat manufactured today or past 50 years. A control cable exits from the bottom of the lower portion of the unit, runs along the bicycle frame up to a small control lever installed nearby the handlebar grips. This allows easy seat height adjustment while riding without having to remove hands from the handlebar. Activating the lever while body weight is lifted from the seat unlocks the seat and allows it to rise to the level desired.
