  • Patent number: 6454111
Abstract: A receptacle for containing compost is provided which can be easily assembled and disassembled as needed. The receptacle is formed of durable materials creating an attractive appearance to the yard or garden. Metal brackets form the corners and define angularly positioned slots for receiving wooden slats which provide the side walls. The slats can later be removed when compost is needed.

  • Patent number: 5247809
Abstract: The invention herein provides an air washer and method for economical operation whereby the dew point temperature of air in a conditioned space can be consistantly controlled year-round. The air washer includes a manifold whereby chilled water and recirculated ambient temperature water are mixed to provide an efficient and precise temperature blend for spraying the airstream passing through the air washer into the conditioned space.

  • Patent number: 4711649
Abstract: An air filter and method are presented whereby contaminants such as cotton dust are reduced to an acceptable level in textile mills or the like. The air filter employs an advanceable medium which passes over a drum and the used medium is wound onto a take-up roller. The medium supply roll is protected from contaminants prior to its employment on the drum as it is covered by the used medium on its return path.

  • Patent number: 4386599
Abstract: A woodburning stove adapted to be inserted into a fireplace having inner walls operatively forming a fire chamber and outer walls spaced from the inner walls to form air heating chambers through which air to be heated is forced by a fan disposed beneath the fire chamber adjacent to the front face of the stove. The inner walls are arranged to channel air beneath, behind, on top of and to the sides of the fire chamber in successive order before discharge out the front of the stove. A special fire chamber and flue means cause the hot exhaust gases of the fire chamber to flow along the rear and top walls of the fire chamber and through a damper in the front of the stove and into a flue chamber before flowing into the fireplace flue. The temperature of a heating surface disposed on top of the flue chamber above the damper is controlled by damper control means at the front wall of the stove.

  • Patent number: 3965690
Abstract: A piping arrangement for an air washer is disclosed which enables the air washer to maintain constant dewpoint of air passing from the leaving side of the air washer. Chilled water is sprayed from a first manifold and is used to cool air to a required wet bulb temperature. The air is then passed through subsequent manifolds having spray nozzles which further humidify the air until the air reaches a required dewpoint temperature in a substantially saturated state.
