  • Publication number: 20240133317
Abstract: A sensor includes a mount arranged along a sensor axis, an airfoil body fixed to the mount and having a first face and second face extending along the sensor axis, a heater element, and a temperature probe. The heater element and the temperature probe are positioned within the airfoil body and extend axially along the airfoil body. The airfoil body defines within its interior a pressure channel having an inlet segment extending between the heater element and the first face of the airfoil body to prevent ice formation and/or melt ice entrained within air traversing the pressure channel. Gas turbine engines, methods of removing ice or preventing ice formation, and methods of making sensors are also described.

  • Publication number: 20240082656
Abstract: Golf clubs and golf club heads having a weight member that is configurable in multiple positions to alter the performance characteristics of the golf club head are presented. In some examples, the weight member may be arranged in a sole of the golf club head and may include ends having different weighting characteristics. For instance, one end may be heavier or denser than another end of the weight member. The difference in weight characteristics may be due to different materials used to form the different ends, different construction of the ends, and the like. The position of the weight member may be adjusted to alter the performance characteristics of the golf club head. For instance, the weight member may be removed and rotated to position a heavier end where a lighter end was previously positioned.

  • Patent number: 11930617
Abstract: Information handling system (IHS) component immersion cooling systems and methods employ an apparatus having an IHS component immersion cooling flow passage housing disposed at (a) IHS component(s) of an IHS disposed in an immersion cooling tank. The IHS component immersion cooling flow passage housing has an immersion fluid inlet open to immersion fluid within tank and an immersion fluid outlet connected to a return line of an immersion fluid pump. The IHS component cooling apparatus flow passage housing may be a cold plate or a ducted heatsink disposed on, or about, the IHS component(s) of the IHS disposed in the immersion cooling tank. The immersion fluid pump may be the pump that also circulates the immersion fluid within the tank. The tank may include a manifold in fluid flow communication with the pump. This manifold may receive a plurality of return lines, each from an IHS component cooling apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20230116125
Abstract: A method, a system, and a non-transitory computer readable medium are disclosed for controlling Internet of Thing (IoT) devices using voice command requestor authentication. The method includes receiving, on a smart assistant device, a voice command from a first user; identifying, on the smart assistant device, the first user from the voice command; determining, on the smart assistant device, an authentication status of the first user to a perform one or more requests to one or more IoT devices based on the identity of the first user; and sending, from the smart assistant device, one or more instructions to the one or more IoT devices when the first user has been authorized to execute a function of the one or more IoT devices.

  • Publication number: 20230091575
Abstract: Portable ear-worn acoustic devices having a wingtip anchor for improved anchoring for active users and to accommodate a wide range of ear sizes and shapes are provided herein. Such acoustic devices an include an earbud device body and a wingtip anchor that extends from an outer face of the device body. The wingtip anchor can include a base portion and a protruding portion that extends upwards and is angled or curved inwardly so as to engage the upper concha of the ear. The wingtip anchor can be flexible so that engagement of a distal portion of the anchor exerts an inwardly directed spring force on the device body to maintain the earbud device body within the ear. Such acoustic devices can further include a multi-function button that is integrated with the wingtip anchor such that the base portion of the wingtip anchor is a faceplate for the multi-function button.

  • Patent number: 11602528
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for increasing the activity of a mutant or wild-type ?-glucosidase enzyme in vitro and in vivo by contacting the enzyme with a specific pharmacological chaperone which is a derivative of 1-deoxynojirimycin. The invention also provides a method for the treatment of Pompe disease by administration of chaperone small molecule compound which is a derivative of 1-deoxynojirimycin. The 1-deoxynojirimycin derivative is substituted at the N or C1 position. Combination therapy with replacement ?-glucosidase gene or enzyme is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230026424
Abstract: Information handling system (IHS) component immersion cooling systems and methods may employ a cold plate disposed on one or more IHS components of an IHS disposed in an immersion cooling tank and an immersible immersion fluid pump adapted to be deployed in the immersion cooling tank, the immersible immersion fluid pump in fluid flow communication with the cold plate, directing flow of immersion fluid in the immersion cooling tank to the cold plate. The immersible immersion fluid pump may be disposed on the cold plate or in an equipment bay of the IHS. A manifold may distribute flow from first and/or second immersible immersion fluid pump(s) to first and second cold plates. Power, etc. may be provided to the immersible immersion fluid pump via (a) fan connection(s) provided by the IHS.
