  • Patent number: 10696500
Abstract: A vehicle restraint for a loading dock includes a barricade member that is rotationally operable between a stored position, a blocking position and a verification position. The barricade member in the blocking position is adapted to laterally secure a vehicle relative to the loading dock. An operable latch is coupled proximate an outer end in the barricade member. The operable latch is selectively operable between retracted and extended positions. When the barricade member is in the blocking position and the operable latch is in the extended position, the operable latch vertically secures the vehicle relative to the barricade member.

  • Patent number: 10660141
Abstract: Example implementations relate to establishing communication Sinks with electronic devices. As an example, a computing device includes a data acquisition device to obtain global unique identifier (GUID) of an electronic device using a first communication protocol. The computing device also includes a processor to authenticate the electronic device based on the GUiD. The processor is also to determine device characteristic information associated with the electronic device based on the GUID. The processor is further to establish a communication link with the electronic device based on the device characteristic information and the GUID, The communication link is implemented based on a second communication protocol that is different from the first communication protocol.

  • Publication number: 20190349421
Abstract: A system and method for workflow orchestration for use with a cloud computing environment. Cloud environments, such as Oracle Public Cloud (OPC), provide a suite of applications, middleware, and database offerings that can be delivered to tenants in a self-service, elastically scalable, and secure manner. In accordance with an embodiment, the cloud environment can include a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment, which provides a variety of services such as virtual assembly creation. A workflow orchestrator can be used to orchestrate operations between the cloud environment and the PaaS environment, e.g., by receiving a request from a tenant automation system, and coordinating the provisioning and deployment of virtual assemblies or applications. A customer can interact with the PaaS environment, e.g., to request a service, deploy to the service, or monitor the service.
