  • Patent number: 9353557
Abstract: A door handle arrangement for vehicles including an electrically insulating cover having an outer actuating surface for a user characterized by at least one metal actuating electrode disposed on the inner side of the cover that is on the side of the cover facing away from the actuating surface. The cover is elastically deformable by an actuation in the area of the actuating surface. The arrangement includes at least one sensor electrode that is disposed at a distance from the actuating element and opposite the inner side of the cover, wherein the sensor electrode lies opposite the actuating electrode at least in certain sections so that the distance between actuating electrode and sensor electrode is variable during deformation of the cover in the region of the actuating surface. The arrangement also includes a control and evaluation device which is coupled at least to the sensor electrode to detect a capacitance between sensor electrode and actuating electrode.

  • Publication number: 20160146377
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus, system and method for hanging one or more pipes or conduits from a single threaded rod. The Pipe/Conduit Hanging Device comprises an unthreaded rod coupling, with one or more pipe clamps distending therefrom, which may be slidably adjusted along a threaded rod and held in place by a pair of nuts. The Pipe/Conduit Hanging Device may be used individually or in a system comprising multiple Pipe/Conduit Hanging Devices working in conjunction. The most preferred embodiment comprises a split-ring type clamp distending from an unthreaded rod coupling with a sliding cavity that is marginally larger in diameter than the diameter of a threaded rod, so that a threaded rod may easily slide through the sliding cavity while the device is being installed. Further, a method of using a ā€œCā€ clamp to allow a Pipe/Conduit Hanging Device to span a gap between two threaded rods is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160117056
Abstract: In some examples, a projector is controlled to project an image content onto a projection surface in a region defining a display area. Captured images are received that are captured by at least one optical sensor of the projected image content on the projection surface. In the captured images, user touches of a plurality of designated locations of the projected image content on the projection surface are detected. A position of an interaction area based on the detected user touches is determined, and, based on the determined position of the interaction area, it is determined whether the display area and the interaction area coincide.

  • Patent number: 9291430
Abstract: An accessory device for attachment to a firearm may include a device body having a light source and a biasing member extending from the device body through an aperture of a rail clip. The biasing member has a distal end shaped for insertion into a firearm slot, and the device body has an anti-rotation feature that prevents the body from rotating about the biasing member with respect to the rail clip when the distal end is inserted in the firearm slot.

  • Publication number: 20160078252
Abstract: Encryption of data within a memory 6 is provided by key generation circuitry 12 which serves to generate a key as a function of the address within the memory 6 being accessed and then encryption circuitry 14 or decryption circuitry 16 which serve respectively to encrypt or decrypt the data as a function of the key that has been generated based upon the address. The encryption and the decryption may be performed using a bitwise XOR operation. The key generation circuitry may have the form of physically unclonable function circuitry, which varies from instance to instance of implementation and that operates to generate the same key for the same address upon both write and read operations within the same instance.

  • Patent number: 9250745
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to an input relative to an image projected onto a projection surface. In one embodiment, a processor may determine the characteristics of an input relative to an image projected onto a projection surface. The input characteristics may be determined based on information from an optical sensor.

  • Publication number: 20150371718
Abstract: A data processing apparatus has at least one memory and processing circuitry. A memory built-in self-test (MBIST) interface receives a MBIST request indicating that a test procedure is to be performed for testing at least one target memory location. Control circuitry detects the MBIST request and reserves for testing at least one reserved memory location including the target memory location. During the test procedure, the memory continues servicing memory transactions issued by the processing circuitry that target a memory location other than the reserved location reserved by the control circuitry. The processing circuitry is stalled if it attempts to access a reserved memory location. Testing consists of short bursts of transactions which occur infrequently. In this way, MBIST testing may continue while the processor is operation in the field with reduced performance impact.

  • Publication number: 20150363267
Abstract: A data storage apparatus is provided which has a plurality of data storage units, each respective data storage unit configured to store a respective data bit of a data word. Stored data value parity generation circuitry is configured to generate a parity bit for the data word in dependence on the data bits of the data word stored in the plurality of data storage units. The stored data value parity generation circuitry is configured such that switching within the stored data value parity generation circuitry does not occur when the data word is read out from the plurality of data storage units. Transition detection circuitry is configured to detect a change in value of the parity bit.
