  • Patent number: 9536348
Abstract: A system and method are provided for displaying video surveillance fields of view limitations. The system and method perform video surveillance of a given area and then geo-locate any obstacles within the area, including measuring their overall size and shape. The system and method map the size, location and shape of the objects into a database and then identify where there are video surveillance coverage gaps from each vantage point where video surveillance is being performed on the area. The system and method then determine where there are overlapping locations of blocked video surveillance (i.e., locations that are “invisible” to video surveillance). The system and method create a simulated image of the area from an orientation above the area which indentifies locations within the area that may not be seen by video surveillance from any of the vantage points where video surveillance is being performed.

  • Patent number: 9536803
Abstract: An integrated power module having a depletion mode device and an enhancement mode device that is configured to prevent an accidental on-state condition for the depletion mode device during a gate signal loss is disclosed. In particular, the disclosed integrated power module is structured to provide improved isolation and thermal conductivity. The structure includes a substrate having a bottom drain pad for the depletion mode device disposed on the substrate and an enhancement mode device footprint-sized cavity that extends through the substrate to the bottom drain pad. A thermally conductive and electrically insulating slug substantially fills the cavity to provide a higher efficient thermal path between the enhancement mode device and the bottom drain pad for the depletion mode device.

  • Publication number: 20160291760
Abstract: A computing device receives electronic data generated by a touch-sensitive surface in response to a contact made with the touch-sensitive surface, and a tilt sensor detects a tilt angle of the touch-sensitive surface. The tilt angle is indicative of an angular displacement between a reference plane defined by the touch-sensitive surface in a reference position and a current plane defined by the touch-sensitive surface in a current position. A parameter or other aspect of an automated contact discriminating process is modified based at least in part on the detected tilt angle of the touch-sensitive surface. The contact discriminating process determines whether the contact made with the touch-sensitive surface is intentional or not intentional. In response to determining that the contact is intentional, the electronic data is accepted as valid input for further processing. In response to determining that the contact is not intentional, the electronic data is rejected for further processing.
