  • Patent number: 11760055
Abstract: A stitchbonded washable towel made from a stitchbonded fabric having a cellulosic nonwoven sheet of cellulosic fibers, and an integrated nonwoven sheet of an outer sublayer of wood pulp fibers, and an inner layer of textile fibers substantially entangled with the wood pulp fibers, and confronting the cellulosic nonwoven sheet of cellulosic fibers. The stitchbonded fabric as uses a pattern of stitching yarns that fixes the cellulosic nonwoven sheet to the integrated nonwoven sheet. A post-treatment of the stitchbonded fabric in a heated aqueous solution containing soil release polymer gathers the fabric into the towel, and provides stain and soil re-deposition resistance.

  • Patent number: 11759351
Abstract: Described herein is a system for heating and/or cooling a fluid that includes a temperature forcing device having a bottom plate and a top plate hingedly coupled to the bottom plate. At least one of the bottom plate and the top plate has a recess or other area for receiving at least one flexible fluid holder (e.g., a polymer bag). The bottom plate and/or top plate also has at least one protrusion and/or recession in its interior wall(s) such that a fluid passageway in the flexible fluid holder is defined when the fluid holder is placed between the top and bottom plates, and the plates are closed together. The fluid holder then has a fluid inlet for receiving the fluid to be heated and/or cooled and a fluid outlet for delivering the fluid. The fluid, upon being heated and/or cooled by the temperature forcing device, may then be delivered to a patient or may be delivered to another system component, e.g., for additional heating/cooling.

  • Publication number: 20230288893
Abstract: A time modular system architecture capable of deforming energy industrial information productive inventories as a current demand topography evolves over time is provided. In embodiments, the system comprises an energy source, a productive component, a network component and a digital component. The energy source outputs energy. The productive component comprises a product (taken in the expansive meaning of any goods or services produced in the economy) output by the system. The network component connects the energy source to the productive component. The digital component determines shifts in demand of the productive component, manages automated systems, and optimizes the energy source based on the shifts in demand of the productive-consumptive component. Each of the energy source, network component and productive component are dynamically modified to optimize utilization based on supply and demand to deliver higher economic and societal intensity per unit of energy source(s).

  • Patent number: 11727790
Abstract: A system providing various improved calibration techniques for haptic feedback is described. An acoustic field is defined by one or more control points in a space within which the acoustic field may exist. Each control point is assigned an amplitude value equating to a desired amplitude of the acoustic field at the control point. Because complete control of space is not possible, controlling the acoustic field at given points yields erroneous local maxima in the acoustic field levels at other related positions. In relation to mid-air haptic feedback, these can interfere in interactions with the space by creating secondary effects and ghost phenomena that can be felt outside the interaction area. The level and nature of the secondary maxima in the acoustic field is determined by how the space is controlled. By arranging the transducer elements in different ways, unwanted effects on the acoustic field can be limited and controlled.

  • Publication number: 20230228551
Abstract: The invention provides a method of inspecting a wind turbine blade. The method includes providing a defect inspection tool having an array of pins, the pins being displaceable in an axial direction relative to one another. The method includes positioning the defect inspection tool against a defect on the wind turbine blade to cause displacement of at least some of the pins in the axial direction, the displaced pins describing a contour representative of a contour of the defect. The method includes determining dimensions f the defect by inspecting the contour described by the displaced pins.
