Abstract: A locking gun rack for vehicle mounting includes a slidable member for holding a latch member in locking position and a bolt lock for holding the slidable member in locked position and also includes slots for receiving the square shank of a carriage bolt which is threaded into a stationary member. The slot prevents rotation of the carriage bolt in the rack locked position and permits rotation of the carriage bolt in the rack unlocked condition. The latch member has a tongue extending through a slot in the slidable member and a lug engageable behind the slot in the locked condition.
