Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a single-serve beverage pod having an additive enclosure and methods of making and using the same. The additive enclosure may serve to hold an additive that, when brewing a single-serve beverage, combines with a beverage precursor to yield a beverage infused with the additive. The present disclosure has recognized the difficulty in introducing a precise amount of desired additive in beverages, as well as the possibility of the additive being absorbed by or adversely affecting the beverage precursor, and provides a solution to making and using a single-serve beverage pod with a precise amount of desired additive.

Abstract: A band saw attachment for working in conjunction with a band saw for cutting arcuate panels from a piece of stock. The attachment includes a frame structure and a carriage movably mounted on the frame structure and movable back and forth between selected cutting positions. A rotating support is pivotally mounted to the carriage and pivotally movable back and forth relative to the blade of the band saw. In operation, the rotating support receives and holds a piece of stock and by rotating the support the blade of the band saw functions to cut arcuate shaped panels from the piece of stock.

Abstract: An arched shutter assembly is provided having generally V-shaped or tapered louvers operated by a uniformly arched operating arm all mounted within an arched peripheral frame. Each louver rotates on an axis that is aligned with a center reference point at the juncture of a central hub and radial frame members. The arched shutter assembly can be shaped to fit a variety of arched or circular windows and is commonly used to provide an operable shutter for an arched window above a rectangular door or window.
