Abstract: Describes a method for lowering the flow of liquid anolyte through perforations in the diaphragm of a diaphragm electrolytic cell, e.g., a chlor-alkali diaphragm electrolytic cell, comprising introducing ceramic fiber into the anolyte compartment of the electrolytic cell, e.g., during cell operation. The benefits described for lowering the flow of anolyte liquor through the diaphragm of a chlor-alkali diaphragm electrolytic cell are increasing the concentration of alkali metal hydroxide, e.g., sodium hydroxide, and decreasing the concentration of hypochlorite ion, e.g., sodium hypochlorite, in the catholyte liquor. Also describes introducing dopant material and/or fibers comprising halogen-containing polymer, e.g., fluorocarbon polymer fibers, into the anolyte compartment of the electrolytic cell in conjunction with the addition of ceramic fiber into the anolyte compartment, e.g., during cell operation.

Abstract: A display unit for use in combination with a shelf having a depressed well at its front end, the display unit providing a stop for merchandise resting on the shelf and being formed of a multiplicity of integrally formed panels, portions of which can be seated and locked into the well of the shelf, with other portions then being interengaged to rigidify the unit and preclude accidental collapse.

Abstract: A display tag, of sheet material, for use on a forwardly extending support hook is provided. It has a mounting portion on one end for securing it to the proximal end of a support hook, and an elongate portion adjacent the mounting portion for extending forwardly of the hook to present product information at a distal end of the elongate portion. The tag has one or more flaps or tabs which are die-cut therein and provided with bar receiving cut-outs for receiving a forwardly extending part of a support hook therein. In one embodiment, four tabs are provided on the mounting portion of the tag for receiving mutually perpendicular extending bars of a bi-directional wire rack therein. The bar receiving cut-outs in the tabs are circular or elongate in shape and stabilize the tag in the longitudinal direction on the support hook.

Abstract: A strip merchandiser for suspending apertured products from a product display shelf has a versatile form of mounting portion providing optional forms of attachment for the strip merchandiser to the display shelf. The mounting portion is in the form of a panel which can be flexed so as to secure the panel in a concave price channel on the forward edge of a shelf. Further, the mounting panel is provided with a depressable head which can be used for attaching it in an aperture of a display shelf.
