  • Patent number: 5587698
Abstract: An Automatic Tire Pressure Control System (APS) compensates for fluctuations in the air pressure and temperature of vehicle tires and automatically adjusts the tire pressure. This provides the vehicle operator with a convenient means to automatically regulate the pressure of a vehicles' tires for optimum safety and performance. The system provides nonwearing ferrofluid seals for zero air leakage and a special axle sleeve with multiple air channels for reduced inflation time and an air flow path that is isolated from lubricants, an air compressor powered by a vehicle engine and a microprocessor controlled distributor which distributes air to each tire, depending on a tire pressure and temperature sensor signalling air and temperature requirements. A tire venting system is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5361671
Abstract: A resilient drumstick sleeve assembly comprises a drumstick and a resilient tubular polymeric sleeve fitted onto and covering the tapered neck section of the drumstick. The sleeve has a length of between about one inch to about seven inches and a thickness of between about 1/64 inch to about 1/8 inch and is provided with fluorescent coloration. The resilient drumstick sleeve assembly reduces drumstick breakage and provides the option of using the resilient sleeve to create new drumming sonics.

  • Patent number: 5361669
Abstract: A passive radiator baffle which mounts to the side opposite the beater drumhead membrane side of acoustic drums and is used by musicians to enhance the live acoustic sound of these drum percussion instruments by adding low-frequency punch to their performance. This low-frequency response is achieved by selecting the mass of an acoustically suspended piston to provide tuning the drum enclosure to a selected frequency.

  • Patent number: 5095796
Abstract: A tuned-port rigid baffle panel which mounts to the side opposite the beater drumhead membrane side of acoustic drums and is used by musicians to enhance the live acoustic sound of these drum type percussion instruments by adding low-frequency punch to their performance. This low-frequency response enhancement is achieved by treating the drum as a bass-reflex enclosure and tuning the port of the rigid baffle panel to the appropriate percentage of the free-air resonant frequency of the beater drumhead membrane in order to control the peak amplitude of the beater drumhead membrane at resonance and extend the low-frequency response of the acoustic drum.
