Abstract: A toilet flush mechanism for use with a toilet including a water tank and a water outlet for conducting water out of the tank. The flush mechanism includes a valve element positioned at the outlet for closing and opening the outlet, and a first actuator for moving the valve element between a fully closed position and a fully open position. A stop member is provided located adjacent to the valve element for engaging the valve element and limiting movement of the valve element to an intermediate position between the fully closed and fully open position during a first mode of operation. A second actuator is provided for moving the stop member away from engagement with the valve element during a second mode of operation whereby the first actuator is operable to move the valve element to the fully open position.
