  • Publication number: 20150041235
Abstract: A personal mobility vehicle, such as a scooter, includes at least one battery and motor for powering at least one driven wheel. The vehicle also includes a braking assembly configured to isolate the motor from the at least one driven wheel such that power is terminated from the motor to the at least one wheel in response to a user engaging a braking assembly of the vehicle. The vehicle can include a switch or position sensor that interacts with the braking assembly to initiate the isolation of the motor from the at least one driven wheel and the switch or position sensor preferably is inaccessible to the foot of the user.

  • Publication number: 20140360482
Abstract: A soft impact projectile launcher including a launching mechanism that creates a burst of air or air pressure in order to launch a projectile. The launching mechanism includes an outer cylinder and a spring-loaded piston configured to generate the burst of air. The projectile launcher may also include a projectile reservoir and a loading member that positions projectiles for launching. The projectile launcher can launch projectiles that are made from a superabsorbent polymer and consist of mostly water.

  • Publication number: 20140333054
Abstract: A marking device that is supported by a personal mobility vehicle, such as a scooter, is movable from a first position, in which the marking device does not contact the riding surface, and a second position, in which the marking device contacts the riding surface. The marking device includes an attachment portion and a marking portion that creates markings on the riding surface as a result of frictional contact with the riding surface. The marking device can also include an actuation portion which is accessible to the user and allows the user to move the marking device to the second position. In one arrangement, the marking device includes an elastic marking member which is configured to bend in order to maintain contact with the riding surface.

  • Publication number: 20140070509
Abstract: A flexible skateboard may include a pair of direction casters mounted for steering rotation on a flexible skateboard, twistable for propulsion. One or more vertical wall supports may be provided to resist bowing. Centering spring arrangements including range or rotation limitations such as hard stops may be included. One or two dual wheel assemblies may be exchanged for the single wheel assemblies for ease or riding or learning how to ride. One piece skateboard bodies may be formed by rigidly connecting together multiple pieces of the same or similar wooden or plastic molded parts to form a bridge like connecting member having increased structural rigidity and strength for its weight.

  • Patent number: 8662539
Abstract: A scooter having a marking device that is movable from a first position, in which the marking device does not contact the surface on which the scooter is being operated, and a second position, in which the marking device contacts the surface on which the scooter is being operated. The scooter includes a scooter body which rotatably supports the marking assembly. The marking assembly includes a marking portion which creates markings on a riding surface when in frictional contact with the riding surface. The marking assembly also includes a foot actuation portion which is accessible to the user and allows the user to activate the marking assembly while riding. In one arrangement, the marking portion includes a removable cartridge with marking elements that create markings on the riding surface when in frictional contact with the riding surface.
