  • Publication number: 20230139718
Abstract: Herein are acceleration and increased reliability based on classification and scoring techniques for machine learning that compare two similar datasets of different ages to detect data drift without a predefined drift threshold. Various subsets are randomly sampled from the datasets. The subsets are combined in various ways to generate subsets of various age mixtures. In an embodiment, ages are permuted and drift is detected based on whether or not fitness scores indicate that an age binary classifier is confused. In an embodiment, an anomaly detector measures outlier scores of two subsets of different age mixtures. Drift is detected when the outlier scores diverge. In a two-arm bandit embodiment, iterations randomly alternate between both datasets based on respective probabilities that are adjusted by a bandit reward based on outlier scores from an anomaly detector. Drift is detected based on the probability of the younger dataset.

  • Patent number: 5754123
Abstract: A backup aid system, for a vehicle, senses when the vehicle is in reverse gear. Ultrasonic sensors at the rear of the vehicle provide continuous range information to a control module for objects that are detected as being relatively close to the vehicle. A radar system provides range information to the control module for objects detected beyond the range of the ultrasonic system. At low speeds below a predetermined minimum speed level or when the system is placed in the "park" mode for parking, the radar information is ignored and only the ultrasonic information is used to warn the vehicle operator. At a relatively high threshold backup speed, the vehicle operator is immediately warned to slow down, whether or not an object is detected in the vehicle path. Between the lower and upper threshold speeds, both the ultrasonic system and the radar system are used to continuously range and detect any objects that enter their respective detection fields.

  • Patent number: 5518682
Abstract: A composite molded wheel assembly and method of construction wherein a separately formed injection molded tread is flow melt bonded to a blow molded rim. The tread may comprise multiple tread pieces which are spaced over a tread surface. Bond enhancing grooves and/or projections may be provided on inner surfaces of the tread pieces and/or rim. The tread pieces flow melt bond to the rim during the molding of the rim. The rim includes an axle bore containing hub, a tread support wheel box and a plurality of connecting spokes and intervening web pieces. The method includes the steps of preparing and retaining the tread within the rim forming mold, introducing a parison of rim material having a melt temperature greater than the tread material, injecting pressurized air or gas to conform the rim material to the mold and tread pieces and controlling the molding cycle temperature, pressure and time parameters to promote bonding.
