  • Patent number: 8646663
Abstract: A fluid container is disclosed. The container includes an enclosure for containing liquid and a first closure member. The first closure member is in the form of a fluid discharge assembly which includes a selectively removable valve body mounted for movement between an open position to permit flow of liquid from the enclosure and a closed position to prevent flow of liquid through the fluid discharge assembly. In addition, the closure includes a cap member mountable to a container, and the cap member defines a product outlet passage. The valve body is disposed for movement within the outlet passage between an open position to permit flow of product through the passage from said container and a closed position to prevent flow of product through the passage. The valve body is selectively removable from the outlet passage.

  • Patent number: 8584877
Abstract: A pour cap for a fluid container includes a cap body, a gasket mounted to the cap body, and an open or closed position communication structure. The pour cap can be positioned on the fluid container in a closed position wherein the container is hydraulically sealed with a high pressure seal, or in an open position wherein fluid flow occurs through flow passages on the gasket and the cap body with first and second low pressure seals preventing unwanted leakage between joining parts on the pour cap. The open or closed position communication structure can include a rib and mating detent for producing a clicking sensation upon manipulation of the pour cap by the user, and/or visual features on the cap body viewable by the user, or a cap body having a asymmetrical shape configured for viewing or tactile interpretation by the user.

  • Patent number: 5494198
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an insulated container that is used to inhibit heat transfer between liquid contained in the interior of the insulated container and the exterior ambient environment. The container has an inner body and an outer shell. The outer shell has an opening which receives the inner container body in a close fitted, telescopic engagement. Respective concavities on the inner body and the outer shell engage one another to help lock the inner body and the outer shell together. The insulated container includes a cap structure that is removably connected to the inner body and retains the liquid in the interior of the insulated container. Protrusions on the inner body are used to maintain a spaced-apart relationship between the sidewalls when the inner container body. The cap structure may include a valve assembly from which to dispense the liquid.

  • Patent number: 5316193
Abstract: A thermally insulated bottle has a container body which includes an inner body capable of holding a liquid contents, an outer cup of semi-rigid semi-flexible construction surrounding and spaced radially outward of the inner body, and a barrier layer disposed between the inner body and the outer cup. The outer cup has a construction capable of providing a moisture barrier and sufficient to provide mechanical strength capable of supporting the inner body in an upright relation. The inner body can be a cup similar to the outer cup, or a flexible bladder. The barrier layer can be a reflective metallic foil layer, or a substrate having a metallic material defining a mirrored surface thereon capable of reflecting radiant electromagnetic energy back toward the source thereof so as to reduce the transfer of such radiant energy across the barrier layer. The insulated bottle also includes a closure cap which fits over and is releasably sealable with an open top of the container body.

  • Patent number: 4783164
Abstract: An adjustable retaining strap for eyeglasses includes an elongated tubular member formed of a flexible resilient material. End portions of the tubular member are reverse-fold to define end loops that are retained by end sleeves each having a passageway therethrough. An end plug member is matably received in the end portion of the tubular member and is sized to prevent withdrawal of each tube member from its respective retaining sleeve. A central portion of the tubular member between the end loops may be configured in a central loop received by a central sleeve. A central bead may be received on the bight of the central loop to prevent its withdrawal from the central sleeve.
