  • Patent number: 11963596
Abstract: The invention relates to a hair styling device, and in particular to a hair straightener. The hair styling device (10; 210) has a first arm (12; 212) and a second arm (14; 214), the first and second arms being moveable relative to one another between a closed or operative condition and an open or inoperative condition. The first member (12; 212) has a first heating panel (16; 116; 216) and the second member (14; 214) has a second heating panel (18; 118; 218). The heating panels (16, 18; 116, 118; 216, 218) are corrugated to increase the length of the path the hair must take between the heating panels. The first and second heating panels are spaced apart in the operative condition so as not to press or clamp the hair therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20240044210
Abstract: Methods, computing systems, and computer-readable media for dynamically adjusting drilling parameters during a drilling operation. The approach involves receiving, in real time, drilling parameter measurements and response measurements during a drilling operation. If the response measurements are below the lower limit of a window or trending downwards, the approach determines a new drilling parameter value that will increase the response measurement. The approach dynamically adjusts the drilling parameter value above the sectional limit, while still respecting hard limits. When the measured value improves, the approach returns the limit for the drilling parameter to the sectional limit.

  • Patent number: 11400392
Abstract: A filter element (2) is disclosed which comprises a filtration media (4) and an end fitting (6) through which a sealing connection is made between the filter element and a housing (100) so that, when the sealing connection is made, the end fitting defines in part a flow path for fluid between the housing and the filter element. The end fitting includes an annular seal (36?) made from a compressible material which extends around the periphery of the filter element, and a support (30, 31, 32, 34) for the annular seal which can be expanded outwardly to cause the transverse dimension of the seal to increase so that the seal is urged into contact with an inner wall of a housing (100) in which the filter element is located.

Abstract: A coupler for coupling an implement having first and second spaced apart parallel pins, to the arm of a vehicle. The coupler has a body for attaching to the vehicle arm, a first fixed jaw, a movable second jaw facing away from the first jaw, and an actuator to selectively move the second jaw towards and away from the first jaw. The first jaw includes a lip forward of the seat for the first pin. A first locking member is pivotable between a locking position, in which a portion of the locking member protrudes into the opening of the first jaw, and an unlocked position. A second locking member is pivotable between a locking position in which a portion of the second locking member constricts the opening of the second jaw, and an unlocked position. Movement of the second jaw causes movement of the first locking member.

  • Publication number: 20210184887
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to label based isochronous connection update. A central Bluetooth low energy (BLE) device may send a plurality of labels to a peripheral BLE device during a setup of a BLE communication to notify the peripheral BLE device of one or more labels to be used during the BLE communication. The central BLE device may determine a channel variation between the central BLE device and the peripheral BLE device. The central BLE device may send a first label to the peripheral BLE device to indicate an isochronous (ISO) parameter update that will occur at a first time offset based on the channel variation. The central BLE device may implement the isochronous parameter update at the first time offset based on the channel variation.

  • Publication number: 20200383424
Abstract: A shoe-opening spring includes a base with a medial edge and a lateral edge, a medial spring protruding upwardly from the medial edge of the base, and a lateral edge protruding upwardly from the lateral edge of the base. When the shoe-opening spring is present within a shoe and in a relaxed arrangement, the medial spring and the lateral spring may respectively exert medially and laterally outward forces against respective medial and lateral sides of the shoe. When the medial and lateral sides of the upper of the shoe are pulled together, for example, with a closure of the shoe, the shoe-opening spring may be placed in a tensed arrangement, in which state the shoe-opening spring may remain until the closure is released.
