The first inlet is configured to receive a first portion of the fluid, and the first outlet is configured to discharge the first portion of the fluid. The second conduit has a second inlet and a second outlet. The second inlet is configured to receive a second portion of the fluid, and the second outlet is configured to discharge the second portion of the fluid. The fluid heating element further includes an electrothermal coating associated with the first and second conduits and an electrical lead configured to apply an electric current across the electrothermal coating. The electrothermal coating converts the electric current to heat that is transferred to through the first and second conduits to the fluid.

    Abstract: A vehicle wheel alignment system has a plurality of cameras, each camera for viewing a respective target disposed at a respective wheel of the vehicle and capturing image data of the target as the wheel and target are continuously rotated a number of degrees of rotation without a pause. The image data is used to calculate a minimum number of poses of the target of at least one pose for every five degrees of rotation as the wheel and target are continuously rotated the number of degrees of rotation without a pause. At least one of the cameras comprises a data processor for performing the steps of preprocessing the image data, and calculating an alignment parameter for the vehicle based on the preprocessed image data.

The divertor or first wall surface comprises a refractory metal having a melting point of at least 2000° C. The refractory metal is deposited onto the divertor or first wall surface within the plasma vessel via a deposition process which is one of: additive manufacturing; physical vapour deposition; thermal spray; arc ion plating; diode laser cladding; and chemical vapour deposition.

One exemplary computer-implemented method for establishing a secure communication link between a first diem and a second client includes accessing, from a storage, identification information of a user of the first client. The method further includes receiving a Domain Name Service (DNS) request from the first client requesting a secure network address corresponding to a secure domain name associated with the second client. The method further includes authenticating the user based on the user identification information. The method also includes transmitting the secure computer network address in response to the DNS request based on a determination that the user has been authenticated. A secure communication link between the first diem and the second client is established based on the secure computer network address.

In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

The end walls of the cavity are formed by a blocking plate wall and a transducing element wall separated by a short distance (less than one quarter of the wavelength of acoustic waves in the surrounding medium at the operating frequency). The end walls and side wall bound a cavity with diameter approximately equal to half of the wavelength of acoustic waves in the surrounding medium. In operation, a transducing element generates acoustic oscillations in the fluid in the cavity.

    Abstract: A leg restraint includes a buckle portion in the form of a buckle frame attached to a strap portion. The strap portion includes a section of a loop fabric of a hook-and-loop fastener and a section of a hook fabric of the hook-and-loop fastener. The buckle portion is pliable and resilient and configured to accept the strap within the loop of the buckle frame. The strap is configured to be fed through the buckle frame and looped back on itself to allow the loop portion of the strap to contact the hook portion of the strap, thereby fastening the two strap portions together through the engagement of the hook-and-loop fastener. The strap may have the hook and loop fabric exposed on both faces of the strap such that the strap may be looped back in either direction for fastening.
