  • Patent number: 7908896
Abstract: Implementations of biometric deadbolt lock assemblies having various aspects relating to lock housing; a fingerprint sensor in the housing; a controller in the housing and electrically coupled to the fingerprint sensor, the controller configured to store data and compare stored data to data from the fingerprint sensor; a deadbolt mechanism; a manual actuator couplable to the deadbolt mechanism; a controlled actuator electrically coupled to the controller that couples or uncouples the deadbolt mechanism from the manual actuator to enable or disable manual operation of the deadbolt lock through the manual actuator. A battery may also be included within the housing and in particular implementations a biometric deadbolt lock assembly may be configured to fit in the same size opening as a conventional deadbolt lock.

  • Patent number: 4398082
Abstract: An improved heating apparatus for heating a small room or confined space has an electric heater element affixed to a mounting frame assembly by means of notched heater element supports. The notched heater element supports are operably disposed within slots located around the periphery of the mounting frame assembly. When the heater element is strung through the supports, and stretched therebetween, the supports are biased into a locked position. Cool air is drawn through louvers located in the side panels of the upper housing portion and blown through the mounting frame assembly by a fan located at the rear of the apparatus housing. The cool air is warmed by the heater element and warm air is blown through a front grill attached to the front panel of the apparatus housing.

  • Patent number: 4006454
Abstract: In combination with an asynchronous detector for detecting a particular digital word within a train of signals wherein the detector samples each bit in the train a plurality of times and provides a comparison signal in response to a predetermined number of correlations between the samples and a stored word, an analog to digital converter including signal conditioning means having first and second modes of operations for converting a received analog signal to a digital signal in both modes of operation and inserting periodic error pulses in the digital signal in the first mode of operation and switch means coupled to the signal conditioning means and the detector for switching the signal conditioning means between the first and second modes of operation in response to a comparison signal from the detector.
