Abstract: Data structures, methods and tiling engines for storing tiling data in memory wherein the tiles are grouped into tile groups and the primitives are grouped into primitive blocks. The methods include, for each tile group: determining, for each tile in the tile group, which primitives of each primitive block intersect that tile; storing in memory a variable length control data block for each primitive block that comprises at least one primitive that intersects at least one tile of the tile group; and storing in memory a control stream comprising a fixed sized primitive block entry for each primitive block that comprises at least one primitive that intersects at least one tile of the tile group, each primitive block entry identifying a location in memory of the control data block for the corresponding primitive block. Each primitive block entry may comprise valid tile information identifying which tiles of the tile group are valid for the corresponding primitive block.

Abstract: Antenna elements are disclosed herein that include a metallic square ring patch and a metallic square ring slot to transmit or receive radio frequency (RF) signals. The disclosed antenna elements use several dielectric layers that are separated by two low-dielectric foam layers. The square ring patch is located above an upper foam layer, and a square ring slot is located between the upper foam layer and a bottom foam layer. Electrical feed lines are used to either supply electrical power to the antenna elements cells or output RF signals that are received by the square ring patch. The disclosed antenna elements may be arranged together in an antenna array that is tunable to collectively generate or receive RF signals.

Abstract: A dispenser includes a front panel that can be opaque, and a body that includes a sidewall extending from a rear wall. Further, the front panel is coupled to the body and an interior cavity is formed therebetween. The sidewall includes an illuminating portion and a viewing portion. The illuminating portion is translucent and the viewing portion is transparent. The viewing portion is located between the front panel and the rear wall and the viewing portion and the illuminating portion indicate a refill status.

Abstract: Resonator and filter devices and methods of fabrication. A resonator chip includes a substrate, a piezoelectric plate, and an acoustic Bragg reflector between the substrate and a back surface of the piezoelectric plate. A conductor pattern on a surface of the piezoelectric plate includes a first plurality of contact pads and an interdigital transducer (IDT). The acoustic Bragg reflector is configured to reflect the shear primary acoustic mode. An interposer has a second plurality of contact pads on a back surface. A seal connects a perimeter of the piezoelectric plate to a perimeter of the interposer. Each contact pad of the first plurality of contact pads is directly connected to a respective contact pad of the second plurality of contact pads.

Abstract: Embodiments of secondary batteries having electrode assemblies are provided. A secondary battery can comprise an electrode assembly having a stacked series of layers, the stacked series of layers having an offset between electrode and counter-electrode layers in a unit cell member of the stacked series. A set of constraints can be provided with a primary constraint system with first and second primary growth constraints separated from each other in a longitudinal direction, and connected by at least one primary connecting member, and a secondary constraint system comprises first and second secondary growth constraints separated in a second direction and connected by members of the stacked series of layers. The primary constraint system may at least partially restrain growth of the electrode assembly in the longitudinal direction, and the secondary constraint system may at least partially restrain growth in the second direction that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A cutting head body for an agricultural machine, such as a mower or a trimmer, is configured to receive a cutting line for cutting weeds, grass, or other materials. The cutting head body includes an inlet area having a cavity with a node location configured to receive a node of a cutting line, and an outlet area having a cavity configured to open to an exterior of the cutting head body. The cutting head body may include a first passageway connecting the inlet area to the outlet area and a second passageway connecting the inlet area to the outlet area. The cutting head body is rotatable about a rotational axis to move the cutting line. In some embodiments, the cutting head body is fixed to a rotatable shaft. In some embodiments, the cutting head body rotates about a fixed shaft.

Abstract: A vapour generating device includes an air inlet, a vapour outlet, an airflow passage extending between the air inlet and the vapour outlet, and a vaporizing unit for vaporizing a vapour generating substance for delivery to a user through the airflow passage via the vapour outlet. The vapour generating device includes a rotary airflow regulator and a rotational biasing member. The rotary airflow regulator is positioned in the airflow passage and configured for rotation in a first direction by an airflow through the airflow passage from the air inlet to the vapour outlet resulting from a user inhalation. The rotational biasing member is configured to apply a torque to the rotary airflow regulator in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and is configured to prevent rotation of the rotary airflow regulator in the first direction when the applied torque exceeds a threshold value corresponding to the user inhalation.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a process and apparatus for continuous gas fermentation with reduced accumulation of co-products. The disclosure relates to the use of both a vacuum distillation unit and a membrane separator to provide efficient product recovery, cell retention, and water recycling to maximize production of the fermentation products. The disclosure provides for continuous product recovery at an effective rate and minimizes the accumulation of co-products in the fermentation broth while ensuring the retention and viability of the C1-fixing microorganisms.

A voice accelerometer can include a substrate and a plurality of sensing elements associated with a plurality of frequency bands. Each frequency band can be associated with one or more sensing elements of the plurality of sensing elements having a respective resonance frequency within the frequency band. The voice accelerometer can include a back cavity enclosed by the plurality of sensing elements and the substrate. Each respective sensing element of the plurality of sensing elements can be configured to vibrate in response to a first force corresponding to a bone-conducted sound wave coupled into the voice accelerometer, and a second force corresponding to a back cavity pressure coupling between the plurality of sensing elements, the back cavity pressure coupling based on respective vibration of each sensing element of the plurality of sensing elements.

Abstract: The composition inhibits severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) via competitive binding to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The composition includes a plurality of sulfated glycosaminoglycans which bind to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, preventing binding to and uptake by host cells. The sulfated glycosaminoglycans, including N-, 2-O, 3-O, or 6-O sulfate groups, or combinations thereof, include heparins and fucoidans, such as those isolated from brown seaweed. The compositions show antiviral activity, with EC50 as low as 0.08 ?M, and low cytotoxicity, making it promising for clinical use. While established SARS-CoV-2 treatments such as remdesivir need to be administered intravenously, the compositions discussed herein are advantageously capable to being delivered as a nasal spray, metered dose inhaler, oral delivery, etc.

Abstract: An image correction system may include a head-mounted display, a server, and a local correction device. The head-mounted display includes a display configured to display one or more corrected images and one or more sensors configured to generate initial tracking information and updated tracking information, wherein the initial tracking information is associated with a first time point and the updated tracking information is associated with a second time point subsequent to the first time point. The local correction device is configured to: receive the tracking information from the head-mounted display, transmit the initial tracking information to a server, receive one or more rendered images from the server, generate the one or more corrected images based on the one or more rendered images and the updated tracking information, and transmit the one or more corrected images to the head-mounted display.

Abstract: An electric vehicle (EV) charger cable management system for use at an EV charging facility coupled to a power source via an EV charger is provided. The EV charger cable management system includes an EV charger cord set including an EV connector and an EV charger cable coupled to the EV connector; a bracket; and a junction box coupled to the EV charger cable and including electrical wirings, the junction box being structured to electrically connect the EV charger to the EV charger cord set via the electric wirings, be affixed to a portion of top surface of the EV charging facility via the bracket, and maintain a majority of the EV charger cord set to be suspended overhead and out of a path of a user or the EV.

Abstract: Techniques for a proxy to replicate traffic being communicated between a client device and a destination device based on determining an outage or impairment in a LEO satellite network. The proxy may be communicating a traffic stream between a source device and a destination device using a primary WAN that includes the LEO satellite network. However, the proxy may determine that the primary WAN has experienced or will experience an outage or other impairment. In such examples, the proxy may then replicate the traffic stream and send the replicated traffic stream over a backup communication link. The backup communication link may a different path through the primary WAN, and/or may be a communication path through a secondary WAN. Once the outage or impairment has cleared, the proxy may stop replicating the traffic and again use the primary WAN to communicate traffic.
