  • Patent number: 11969713
Abstract: Functionalized catalysts for use in a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) contain nanoparticles containing a transition metal enveloped in layers of graphene, which renders the nanoparticles resistant to passivation while maintaining an optimal ratio of transition metal and transition metal oxide in the nanoparticles. The catalysts can be utilized with anionic exchange polymer membranes for hydrogen production by alkaline water electrolysis.

  • Patent number: 10169765
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for generating advertisement information for performing a marketing campaign on behalf of an advertiser. The advertiser has an associated computer in communication with a data network. A plurality of electronic publishers in communication with the data network are used. In one aspect, the method includes receiving, over the data network, information describing subject matter of the marketing campaign. Advertisement information is generated based on the received information describing the marketing campaign subject matter. A plurality of instantiations of the advertisement information are generated using publisher parameters associated with the electronic publishers. Each instantiation is in a format appropriate for a respective one of the electronic publishers. At least one of the generated instantiations is provided to the respective electronic publisher over the data network.

  • Publication number: 20140232343
Abstract: The present invention relates to portable charging apparatus suited for a handheld electronic device, a power supply for use in a portable charging device and a portable charging apparatus for recharging a handheld electronic device. In one embodiment, a portable charging apparatus for a handheld electronic device having a housing including an internal battery, the portable charging device comprising a power supply, an electrically conductive means for providing power from the power supply, and securing means for detachably securing the portable charging apparatus to the housing of the handheld electronic device, whereby in use the portable charging apparatus is secured to an outer surface of the housing of the handheld electronic device. Alternatively, a plug of the electrically conductive means can be moved into alignment with the charging port of the handheld electronic device before securing the power supply to the housing of the handheld electronic device.

  • Patent number: 5522418
Abstract: A differential pressure operated gas lift includes a valve element movable in a tubular body to open and close a gas flow passage having flow restricting orifices upstream thereof. A coil spring tends to open the valve element. In the open position of the valve element an external pressure responsive surface engages a seat which is axially adjustable to vary the spring force and change the length of travel of the valve element between its open and closed positions. The reopening differential pressure can be changed while maintaining the same closing pressure differential. Very large injection rates can be implemented at low differential pressures.

  • Patent number: 5334925
Abstract: A device for draining a nickel cadmium or other battery prior to recharging the battery includes first and second input terminals for connecting the device to a battery to be discharged, and first and second circuits coupled to the input terminals for draining current from the battery for deep cycle discharge purposes. The first circuit has sufficient resistance to drain current from the battery without damage to the battery when the battery has an output voltage above a predetermined threshold level (e.g., 3.3 volts), and the second circuit presents a low resistance in order to drain current from the battery when the battery has an output voltage no greater than the threshold level. The device includes a relay coupled to the input terminals for decoupling the second circuit from the battery when the battery has an output voltage greater than the threshold level.

  • Patent number: 5211842
Abstract: A three-phase well test apparatus and method using a two-phase separator. A separator is used to separate well fluid into gas and liquid constituents. The gas constituent is measured by a gas flow meter, and a pressure control valve is used to prevent surging of the gas beyond the range of the meter A pump is used to pump liquid out of the separator through a liquid flow line. A recirculating line is provided, and a valve may be acutated between a flow position and a recirculating position in response to a liquid level in the separator. When liquid is not being flowed for measurement, it is recirculated to the separator and thereby continuously mixed to maintain the liquid in a homogeneous condition. Downstream from the valve is a liquid meter and a meter prover connection. The recirculation mixes the liquid A mixer may be positioned downstream from the pump to additionally mix the liquid flowing therethrough.
