  • Patent number: 4579269
Abstract: A ticket strip feed machine is disclosed having a ticket strip feed mechanism, a power source, and gearing connecting the power source to the feed mechanism. The feed mechanism has a rotatable ticket strip feed wheel connected to the gearing for rotation thereby. The feed wheel is provided with at least one set of toothed elements for engaging the ticket strip to prevent additional feeding movement of the ticket strip when a force is exerted on the ticket strip in the direction of feed. In addition, the feed wheel is provided with a plurality of toothed elements for engaging the ticket strip to feed same upon rotation of the feed wheel. The gearing includes a worm gear connected to the power source and a spur gear meshing with the worm gear and connected to the feed wheel to drive same.

  • Patent number: 4509513
Abstract: A portable and collapsible hyperbaric chamber assembly adapted to accomodate the major portion of a patient's body and adapted for connection to a pressurized source of oxygen or other suitable gas. The chamber assembly includes a circular frame which is U-shaped in cross section wherein the closed end of the U is the frame base and the depending portions form the inner and outer frame walls. A flexible tubular chamber member is secured to the outer frame wall and extends downwardly therefrom while a sealing sleeve is connected to the inner wall of the frame. The frame base has connections for receiving pressurized oxygen or other suitable gas.

  • Patent number: 4474571
Abstract: A portable topical hyperbaric chamber assembly for covering a surface portion of the patient's body for treatment with pressurized oxygen. The assembly comprises a circular base with a plurality of support and positioning rods extending downwardly from the peripheral portion of the base. A resilient circular gasket, open at its top and bottom, snugly fitted into the circular area defined by the rods depending from the base so that its top snugly engages the bottom surface of the base for sealing purposes and the bottom engages the skin of the patient for sealing. The base is equipped with connections for attaching various hoses from the pressurized oxygen control device.

  • Patent number: 4448189
Abstract: A fluidic valve assembly for use with a low pressure hyperbaric chamber, a pressurized source of oxygen, a flow control unit in an oxygen feed line in fluid communication with the chamber, an exhaust valve in fluid communication with the chamber, said exhaust valve being in fluid communication with the oxygen feed line whose pressure maintains the exhaust valve in the closed condition, a one way valve in a first pressure line in fluid communication with the chamber set to allow flow from the chamber at a prescribed pressure, a second pressure line in fluid communication with the chamber, said fluidic valve assembly comprising an inlet flow valve having an inlet connected to the oxygen source and an outlet fluidly connected to the oxygen feed line in communication with the chamber, a closure for closing said outlet, a power assembly connected to the first pressure line for closing said closure when fluid flows in the first pressure line upon the attainment of the prescribed chamber pressure, a first vent for v

  • Patent number: 4432354
Abstract: A portable chamber for enclosing a portion of the body for treatment with oxygen or other gas at pressures slightly above atmospheric and the control circuits for operating the chamber are disclosed. In its basic configuration, the chamber of the invention is designed to enclose a portion of the body, such as a leg or arm, but can be enlarged to enclose the entire body, except the head of the patient. In its basic design, the chamber of this invention is constructed in two parts that mate to form the chamber. When mated, one end of the chamber is closed and the other end is open to receive the part of the body being treated. The open end contains a sleeve that encircles the body part being treated to form an air tight seal. A gasket arrangement is provided to seal the two parts when mated. The control circuits or elements are fluidic elements. These fluidic elements are housed in a control box and coupled to the chamber by means of appropriate couplers mounted on the closed end of the chamber.
