Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for authenticating a credential holder. A method includes receiving biometric data obtained from a machine-readable indicia. A data structure including biometrics is stored in the machine-readable indicia. Biometric data of the credential holder is compared with the biometric data stored in the biometric data structure. Authentication of the credential holder is performed based upon the comparison.

Abstract: A truck box is disclosed comprising a front wall carrying a pair of spaced paddle latches and being formed with a channel extending at least between the paddle latches, a back wall, a bottom wall, opposed end walls and a top lid pivotally mounted to the back wall, all of which are interconnected to define a hollow interior. The operating rod has a first end section connected to one paddle latch, a second end section connected to the other paddle latch, and, an offset center section which is mounted by at least one rod guide within the channel formed in the front wall. The channel substantially encloses the center section of the operating rod to protect it from contact with items loaded into and unloaded from the box interior, and the rod guide(s) support the center section to prevent vibration or other contact with the front wall during operation of the vehicle within which the truck box is mounted.

Abstract: A locking box for use in the cargo bed of vehicles, having a body and a lid. The lid has locking means that can be released from either side of the box, and are completely contained within the lid. A bumper is mounted on the lid to protect the box from collisions with items in the cargo bed. The body of the box is preferably contained within the cargo bed, and the lid is designed to complement the shape of the vehicle.

Abstract: A foldable ramp includes first and second sections longitudinally aligned with each other and joined by a hinge assembly permitting the sections to be pivoted to a working position in which the sections form a continuous, substantially straight ramp with adjoining ends abutting against each other and a storage position in which one of the first and second ramp sections is folded against the other. The hinge assembly includes four links extending along the first and second ramp sections and first and second pins transversely extending through the first and second ramp sections, respectively, and through each of the links.
