Abstract: Disclosed is a harvesting combine having a cab for an operator, a wheel assembly adjacent to a stairs assembly having a top and a bottom, and an improved stairs assembly for accessing the cab by the operator. The improved stairs assembly in a deployed state is angled outwardly from the top of the stairs assembly. The stairs assembly is rotatably connected about its bottom to both raise the stairs assembly and move its bottom inwardly. The stairs assembly is movably connected by a track assembly about its top so as to permit the top of the stairs assembly to move inwardly and upwardly when the stairs assembly is raised from its deployed state. The stairs assembly may be angled outwardly from the top end of the stairs assembly to an angle from the vertical of greater than 15° and may be rigidly anchored at its lower end.

  • Publication number: 20180027739
Abstract: Disclosed is an articulated harvesting combine of a forward power processing unit (PPU) having a forward set of wheel assemblies and a rear grain cart connected by an articulating joint assembly. Bonus sieves assemblies are located in the outer rear of the PPU for accepting grain from concaves and grates assemblies located forward of the bonus sieves assemblies. The bonus sieves assemblies accept tailings from the concaves and grates assemblies for additional separation of grain from material other than grain (MOG). New and separate airflow is provided for the bonus sieves. The bonus sieves tailings are returned to the bonus sieves for rethreshing, optionally after being particulated and air separation performed.

  • Patent number: 9873449
Abstract: A computer program and method for controlling a drive system of a harvester or other agricultural vehicle. The computer program calculates an inner motor displacement reduction of an inner motor of the drive system and a pump displacement reduction of a variable displacement pump of the drive system. • Publication number: 20170359958
Abstract: A dual conveyor assembly for a windrower includes upper and lower conveyors. Each conveyor includes an endless conveyor element and rotatable supports spaced along a longitudinal conveyor path and entrained by the endless conveyor element. The endless conveyor elements define vertically spaced opposed runs that define the longitudinal conveyor path therebetween. The opposed runs are operable to be driven together to move a flow of severed plant material along the path. At least one of the opposed runs is shiftable relative to the other opposed run in an upright direction, while the runs are driven together, such that the opposed runs remain in moving engagement with the flow of severed plant material as the amount of severed plant material passing between the opposed runs varies.

  • Publication number: 20170339832
Abstract: A rotor and cage assembly includes a skeleton of curved spaced-apart side members affixed to laterally extending upper and lower spaced-apart members therebetween and surrounding the rotor. One of the curved spaced-apart side members is terminated with curved fingers. Three concave inserts insert laterally into the skeleton spanning 270° around the rotor. One of the concave inserts carries straight fingers that interlace between the skeleton side member curved fingers. A control assembly of plates having arcuate slots placed at 3 of the pivots of the skeleton assembly, 3 control bars connected to the skeleton pivots, and an actuator is connected separately to each control bar at one end effect arcuate rotation of the control bars resulting in the synchronized rotation of the arcuate slotted plates so that the interlaced straight fingers move closer together or farther apart with the fixed skeleton assembly curved fingers for different types of grain.

  • Patent number: 9607632
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for allowing a single-die preamp to act as two or more virtual preamps for reading or writing data through multiple heads or elements concurrently. A selection register of a preamplifier is set to enable access to a primary register map. Values of registers in the primary register map are set to program a primary preamp channel for performing read or write operations to a first head. The selection register is then set to enable access to a secondary register map, and values of registers in the secondary register map are set to program a secondary preamp channel for performing read or write operations to a second head. Read or write operations can be performed to the first head through the primary preamp channel at a same time that read or write operations are performed to the second head through the second preamp channel.
