    Abstract: A filter aid which magnetically attaches to standard spin-on engine oil filters to provide a means for removing metallic particles from engine oil before the oil passes into the oil filter. The filter aid is compatible with commercially available oil filters and is easily removed, cleaned, and reused, and comprises an annular permanent magnet and an annular particle-collecting disk.
