  • Patent number: 10487813
Abstract: A water booster control system designed with a controller having an algorithm that determines optimum starting parameters for one or more pumps is disclosed. The water booster control system supplies water to a location at specified operating parameters. Water enters a suction manifold, travels through pipes, and into the pumps. The pumps accelerate the water to the desired pressure and/or flow rate and discharge the water through pipes and out of a discharge manifold. One or more of the components of the water booster control system are monitored during use, and data regarding the parameters is displayed locally and/or remotely. Alarms are specified relating to one or more of the operating parameters and the alarm conditions may be displayed locally and/or remotely. A user may make modifications to the system locally and/or remotely through a screen and/or through a remote device using a smart phone application.

  • Patent number: 6481478
Abstract: A motorcycle gas tank fill protector preferably includes a nonscratch sheet, a protective sheet, and at least one magnet. The at least one magnet is contained between the nonscratch sheet and the protective sheet. A gas opening is formed through the nonscratch and protective sheets at one end thereof. The nonscratch sheet and protective sheet are preferably attached to each other on the outer perimeters thereof and the perimeter of the gas opening. The nonscratch and protective sheets may be attached to each other with stitching, sonic welding, heat sealing, or any other suitable assembly method. The at least one magnet is preferably captured within the nonscratch and protective sheets by stitching around the at least one magnet, but other methods may also be used. The motorcycle gas tank fill protector is preferably used by first removing the gas cap from the gas tank.

  • Patent number: 4628406
Abstract: An integrated circuit package comprises at least two integrated circuit chips each having a plurality of contact pads arranged in a first pattern on the interconnect face of the chip, and an elastic sheet-form interconnect member. The interconnect member has at least two main face areas, associated with the chips respectively, and comprises dielectric material and conductor runs supported by the dielectric material in mutually electrically insulated relationship and having termination points arranged in at least two second patterns at the main face areas respectively and corresponding with the first patterns respectively. The interconnect face of each is in confronting relationship with the associated main face area of the interconnect member, and the contact pads of the chip and the termination points of the associated main face area are in mutually registering relationship. A metallurgical bond is formed between each contact pad and the corresponding termination point.

  • Patent number: 4423401
Abstract: Thin film multilayer technology is used to build microminiature electromechanical switches having low resistance metal-to-metal contacts and distinct on-off characteristics. The switches, which are electrothermally actuated, are fabricated on conventional hybrid circuit substrates using processes compatible with those employed to produce thin-film electrical circuits. In a preferred form, such a switch includes a cantilever actuating member comprising a resiliently bendable strip of a hard insulating material (e.g., silicon nitride) to which a metal (e.g., nickel) heating element is bonded. The free end of the cantilever member carries a metal contact, which is moved into (or out of) engagement with an underlying fixed contact by controlled bending of the member via electrical current applied to the heating element.
