  • Publication number: 20240157061
Abstract: Safety needle device (1) comprising: a hub (10) configured to be connected to a pen-injector, the hub (10) comprising a lateral wall (11) and an upper wall (12); a needle (20) attached to the hub (10), a back-end shield (30) slidable along the longitudinal direction (X-X) within the cavity (13) of the hub (10) and rotatable about the longitudinal direction (X-X), the back-end shield (30) being movable irreversibly from an initial position, before connection of the pen injector to the hub (10), to a locking position, after removal of the pen injector to the hub (10) passing through an intermediate position, an elastic member (40) arranged within the cavity (13) and acting between the upper wall (12) and the back-end shield (30) to urge the back-end shield (30) towards the proximal end (21) of the needle (10) along the longitudinal direction (X-X), a locking arrangement (50) comprising at least a first locking member (60) formed on the back-end shield (30) and at least a second locking member (70), the second l

  • Patent number: 10400510
Abstract: An automated step includes a carriage moveable between a retracted position and a deployed position; a jack disposed on the carriage; a platform disposed on the jack; rotatable legs coupled to the platform and rotatable between a stowed position and an extended position; and a controller coupled to the carriage, the jack, and the legs. The controller, when activated to deploy the automated step, directs the carriage to extend, directs the jack to raise the platform, and directs the legs to rotate to the extended position and, when activated to retract the automated step, directs the legs to rotate to the stowed position, directs the jack to lower the platform, and directs the carriage to retract. The jack and legs both support the platform when a user stands on the automated step.

  • Publication number: 20110214942
Abstract: The lift assembly eliminates the need for unsightly items such as step ladders, stools etc. in the personal kitchen area. It provides safe, easy access to upper areas that are difficult to reach. The lift assembly has a step that extends automatically by a convenient and simple toe tap to the cabinet kick panel located at the bottom of all standard kitchen cabinets. Upon extension, the step raises to a height of up to ten inches. Once a person has stepped off the step a load sensor first triggers the automatic lowering of the step and then urges the front movable section of the telescoping frame to retract back under the cabinet where it is out of sight and ready for use again. No unsightly ladders, no tripping over step stools.

  • Patent number: 5868470
Abstract: A recliner mechanism for an automotive seat. The recliner mechanism includes a turnbuckle-style adjustment mechanism and a linearly stationary housing. The adjustment mechanism includes a drive screw extending through the housing. In one embodiment, the drive screw includes a conventional spur gear that is engaged with an axially elongated spur gear rotatably supported within the housing. The axes of the two gears are parallel so that the drive screw spur gear can travel axially along the elongated spur gear. The elongated spur gear is operatively connected to a conventional drive assembly. In a second embodiment, the drive screw includes an axially elongated helical gear that is engaged with a conventional worm gear rotatably supported within the housing. The elongated helical gear remains engaged with the worm gear even when the drive screw travels axially within the housing. The worm gear is operatively connected to a conventional drive assembly.
