  • Patent number: 5432972
Abstract: An improved paint pad assembly is provided with a painting surface contour that is changeable from concave to flat to convex so that the paint pad can paint exterior corners, flat surfaces and interior corners with equal ease. The one-piece paint pad features handpieces disposed on the opposing edges of the paint pad. The two-piece embodiment features an inverted U-shaped handle mounted to the opposing side edges of the paint pad via a tab and lock configuration. The paint pad is hinged in the longitudinal direction thereby enabling the pad surface to extend outwardly for painting an interior corner and inwardly for painting an exterior corner with equal ease.

  • Patent number: 5299690
Abstract: A stackable tray system used, for example, as an organizer tray system in offices, includes two or more trays spaced vertically from one another. Support elements are provided for separating the trays and for supporting the upper tray in each tray pair. Furthermore, the support elements, in combination with the upper tray in a pair and a slide retainer, permit the upper tray to be moved horizontally with respect to the lower tray to provide a cascading appearance. With the upper tray displaced horizontally from the lower tray, access to the lower tray is facilitated, both to add material thereto or to remove contents of the tray.

  • Patent number: 4893685
Abstract: The scale of the present invention has a housing with a recess in its upper surface to allow rotative movement of a pointer therein. Numerals corresponding to weight are disposed an an annular disc-shaped dial carried by the upper periphery of the housing. A transparent cover plate overlies the recess in which the pointer rotates. The recess, pointer and dial are arranged and dimensioned so that the pointer and numerals can be easily read by a user from a standing position. The dial and cover are flush with the outer edge of the housing so that the entire upper surface of the scale is easy to clean and comfortable.

  • Patent number: 4570793
Abstract: A desk console element includes a receptacle member for holding a desktop item such as a pen and pen base and further includes a one-piece connecting clip for releasably connecting the receptacle member to the receptacle member of a like element. The connecting clip includes a first part and a second part, and the receptacle member includes a pair of elongated tracks for slidably accepting the first clip part and detent-defining means which, with the tracks, cooperate with the first clip part to releasably interlock the clip and the receptacle member. The second clip part is adapted to be releasably interlocked with the receptacle member of the like member as the first clip part is adapted to be releasably interlocked with the receptacle member of its element.

  • Patent number: 3971077
Abstract: A water closet seat assembly with a closet seat for use in an elevated or a conventional position. The seat assembly includes support walls mounted on opposite sides of the water closet and provided with two vertical and opposed guideways. The closet seat has a central opening for access to the receptacle and guides which project into the guideways and are free to slide and pivot therein. Support protrusions project inwardly from the support walls to support the closet seat in the elevated position. As the closet seat guides are moved to the bottom of the guideways, an extended lip portion of the closet seat which rests on the support protrusion, moves rearwardly to clear the protrusions and permit the closet seat to be lowered to its conventional position adjacent the upper edge of the water closet receptacle. Arm rests may extend from the walls to provide support for the arms of the user.
