  • Publication number: 20230225245
Abstract: A lawnmower and lawnmower control handle can include a bar configured to pivot in a direction of an input force applied by an operator and a grip having an outer surface that is a non-circular shape and an inner surface that is a different shape than the shape of the outer surface. The bar can be located inside the grip and disposed against the inner surface of the grip.

  • Patent number: 11140821
Abstract: A lawnmower and lawnmower cooling system can include a housing configured to contain a motor, a battery assembly, a motor driver, and a controller. The housing can include at least one air inlet located adjacent to the top surface of the deck. The housing can include a driver chamber, a battery chamber, a motor chamber, and at least one air outlet. A fan can be mounted in the housing such that, when the fan operates, air enters the air inlet, flows through the driver chamber away from the top surface of the deck along the upward direction, passes through the motor driver along the upward direction, passes into the battery chamber and flows through the battery pack, passes into the motor chamber and flows through the electric motor, and exits the motor chamber through the at least one air outlet.

  • Patent number: 11122738
Abstract: A cutter housing for a lawnmower can include first and second cutting chambers with first and second chamber walls and first/second discharge openings. First and second ring gates that have openings and blocking segments can be concentrically placed within respective first and second chamber walls, and rotatably attached to the cutter housing. The first and second ring gates can be rotated between: (a) an opened position in which the first/second ring gate is positioned with the first/second ring opening having a first overlap with a first/second discharge opening to provide a discharge mode, and (b) a closed position in which the first/second ring gate is positioned with the first/second ring opening having a decreased overlap, relative to the first overlap, with the first/second discharge opening to provide a mulch mode. The ring gates can be stopped at intermediate positions to provide a partial mulch mode or partial discharge mode.

  • Patent number: 10966368
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed to a lawnmower that can include a cutter housing with a first chamber wall defining a first cutting chamber. A first discharge opening can be located in the chamber wall, and the cutter housing can include a slot arrangement. A conversion assembly can include an adjustable wall slidably attached to the cutter housing so as to be selectively movable within the slot arrangement between an opened position and a closed position to place the lawnmower in either a discharge mode or a mulch mode (or somewhere in between).

  • Patent number: 10897845
Abstract: Various types of lawnmowers are disclosed that include a cutter housing having a chamber wall and a discharge opening therein. A mulch gate can be provided with an interior scroll-shaped face and can be pivotably attached to the cutter housing so as to be movable between an opened gate position and a closed position. In the opened position, the mulch gate is positioned such that the discharge opening is opened to an exterior of the lawnmower to allow clippings to pass therethrough and out of the lawnmower. In the closed position the mulch gate closes the discharge opening to provide a mulch mode in which clippings remain in the cutter housing for added cutting by the lawnmower blade. When the mulch gate is in the closed gate position, the interior scroll-shaped face of the mulch gate can be substantially continuous with a wall interior surface of the chamber wall.
