  • Publication number: 20240112457
Abstract: In one aspect, an example method includes (i) extracting a sequence of audio features from a portion of a sequence of media content; (ii) extracting a sequence of video features from the portion of the sequence of media content; (iii) providing the sequence of audio features and the sequence of video features as an input to a transition detector neural network that is configured to classify whether or not a given input includes a transition between different content segments; (iv) obtaining from the transition detector neural network classification data corresponding to the input; (v) determining that the classification data is indicative of a transition between different content segments; and (vi) based on determining that the classification data is indicative of a transition between different content segments, outputting transition data indicating that the portion of the sequence of media content includes a transition between different content segments.

  • Patent number: 11396760
Abstract: The present disclosure includes a handle assembly system for use with lift and slide doors. The handle assembly can include a handle housing that can serve as a support frame for housing and securing the handle flush within a front face of the door. The handle can be pivoted out of the handle housing and extended to increase length, wherein rotating the handle allows a user to actuate the door panels in order to open and close the sliding door system. The telescoping handle can allow a user to grip the handle and provide a lever-type function to reduce the force required by the user to actuate the panel, such as to lift the panel onto or off the track.

  • Patent number: 10466095
Abstract: A fixture includes a shelf upon which items may be placed. In one implementation, the shelf is supported by four load cells that provide load cell data that may be used to calculate weight data for the load on the shelf. The load cells are mounted underneath a frame, with an upper portion of a load mount extending upward through the frame and engaged to the shelf. The shelf and the frame include stiffeners to increase rigidity, improving the quality of the load cell data. Electronics and a wiring harness are located underneath the frame. In this configuration, assembly of the fixture may be accomplished completely from the underside, simplifying assembly.

  • Patent number: 10166837
Abstract: An idle reduction system for use with an engine can include a main unit including a controller, and a relay controlled by the controller. The relay can be electrically connected between an ignition switch and an electrical power source for starting the engine. A method of reducing idling of an engine can include connecting an idle reduction system, thereby permitting the system to shut down the engine in response to one or more predetermined conditions, the idle reduction system starting the engine in response to at least one of: a) battery voltage being less than a predetermined level, and b) engine temperature being less than a predetermined level, and the idle reduction system controlling operation of at least one of: an auxiliary air conditioner and an auxiliary heater.

  • Patent number: 5270032
Abstract: A method for treating Candida infections of surfaces and cavities of dentures, the oral and vaginal cavities is disclosed. The method includes contacting an antifungal formulation onto the surface or cavity which is infected with the Candida fungus. The antifungal formulation includes a humectant in a concentration from about 20% to about 80%, lytic activating agents including inorganic monovalent anions and detergents. The antifungal formulation is contacted to the infected surface or cavity by suitable carrier or dispenser. The method is preferably directed towards the treatment of denture stomatitis in the oral cavity. The method preferably includes forming a replica of the denture surface using a suitable fungal growth medium to determine the location and, then, contacting the infected denture surface and surface of the oral cavity with the antifungal formulation.

  • Patent number: 4411070
Abstract: A tree-trimming apparatus mounted on a mobile support vehicle. The apparatus includes a telescoping boom pivotally mounted on a pedestal. The pedestal is pivotally mounted to a turntable which is rotatably mounted on the support vehicle. An operator's station is mounted on the pedestal to provide control of the apparatus. A large diameter circular saw is mounted at the end of the boom and is powered by a high speed hydraulic motor to provide high cutting efficiency. A fiberglass boom and electrically non-conductive hoses provide maximum safety for the operator.

  • Patent number: 4242947
Abstract: A hydraulic actuator, readily assemble and disassemble, which can be used for effecting actuation of food processing machinery or bulk bait or other commodity dispensers. Since it is necessary that such devices be safe and non-polluting, components which come in contact with the hydraulic fluid can be made of plastic so that tap water can be utilized as the hydraulic fluid. The actuator is made readily assemble and disassemble by including devices for quick and easy sealing and locking of the component parts. These devices have only a minimal number of subcomponents.
