  • Publication number: 20110000760
Abstract: A vending apparatus and method of vending a product. Embodiments of a vending apparatus include a dispense mechanism configured to dispense a product, the dispense mechanism including a chamber that is rotatable relative to an opening of the dispense mechanism for aligning the product with the opening and dispensing the product therethrough. Further embodiments of a vending apparatus include a coin mechanism for receiving at least one coin before the vending apparatus dispenses a product, the coin mechanism including a delay mechanism configured to slow movement of an actuating device for avoiding jamming of the at least one coin in the coin mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6597584
Abstract: An ejector assembly is provided. The ejector assembly is detachably coupled to a circuit board to allow the circuit board to be locked in a chassis and separated from the chassis. The ejector assembly comprises a base portion and a locking portion. The base portion is rotatably coupled to the circuit board via a connector. The locking portion is capable of locking the circuit board into place when the ejector assembly is moved from a first position to a second position while the circuit board is in the chassis. In an alternative embodiment, the ejector assembly further comprises a holder to hold a number of cables.

  • Patent number: 5387135
Abstract: A special purpose modular receptacle comprises a generally rectangular housing having an opening which exposes a cavity within the housing. A plurality of electrical contacts are disposed within the cavity of the housing. Terminal ends of the contacts electrically connect to corresponding contacts on a standard modular connector or a modified modular connector inserted into the cavity. The contacts are exposed at a lower rear portion of the housing allowing connection between the contacts and a printed circuit board. Attachment means allow physical and electrical connection of the housing to a printed circuit board. A guiding means may be present as a modular connector insertion aid.

  • Patent number: 5382182
Abstract: A special purpose modular connector comprising a generally rectangular housing having a central body portion and two extending side arm portions. A plurality of electrical contacts are disposed within the body and arm portions. Slots at a front end of each portion of the housing expose a terminal end of each electrical contact. Openings in the rear portions of the housing allow connection of cables or other types of component wiring to the contacts. A locking tab is formed at the underside of the housing and functions to align and securely connect the special purpose modular connector with a correspondingly modified receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5237486
Abstract: A metal frame is fabricated from magnesium alloy and all the main components of the computer, including the logic board, the hard disk drive, the keyboard, the upper and lower halves of the computer's case, and the pivoting display screen are all directly attached to the frame. The frame thus offers a method for constructing a personal computer which will have greatly improved shock resistance, integrated electromagnetic isolation, and structural strength, without increasing the weight of the completed computer in any significant fashion. Additionally, by means of a cooling flange fabricated as part of the frame, the central processing unit of the portable computer is thermally connected to the frame, which then acts as a heat-sink for the central processing unit, greatly improving its reliability.
