  • Publication number: 20220230207
Abstract: The invention is that of systems and methods for individuals to identify service providers based on user-selected criteria and view the profiles of qualified service providers. The methods described herein allow users to have true and correct knowledge about the background and customer satisfaction associated with the service providers. Users may also upload recommendations based on experience with the service providers. Service providers may create profiles that allow users to understand their areas of competence, experience and other useful information for the selection process. Video and other content may be uploaded in support of service provider recommendations. A graphical user interface may be provided for ease of service provider vetting and selection, as well as interactivity between providers and other users. The systems and methods herein enable a high-quality service provider selection experience using social media and presentation concepts that does not exist in the current state of the art.

  • Publication number: 20080147151
Abstract: A thermal cooling apparatus is provided that includes a thermal pack and a flexible band conformable into an annulus. The flexible band includes outer and inner layers made of thermally insulating material. The inner and outer layers are connected to one another to establish a pocket including a mouth sized to permit insertion and removal of the thermal pack through the mouth for accommodation in the pocket. The inner layer preferably possesses a plurality of vent ports for permitting thermal transfer from the thermal pack through the inner layer. Also provided is a method of treating an anatomical area of an individual with the thermal cooling apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20070031181
Abstract: Systems, methods and media for binding papers are disclosed. Two opposing frames are so situated that an edge of papers may be inserted between facing sides of the frames and bound by a clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism comprises a strap secured to the first frame and securable to the second frame. A lever arm, to which the strap is attached, tightens the strap connecting the first and second frames, so that rotating the lever arm tightens the strap, secures the strap to the second frame, and forces the two frames toward each other to clamp an edge of the papers inserted between the frames.

  • Publication number: 20050016735
Abstract: A subsea pumping assembly locates on a seafloor for pumping well fluid from subsea wells to the level. The pumping assembly has a tubular outer housing that is at least partially embedded in the seafloor. A tubular primary housing locates in the outer housing and has a lower end with a receptacle. An annular space surrounds the primary housing within the outer housing for delivering fluid to a receptacle at the lower end of the primary housing. A capsule is lowered in and retrieved from the primary housing. The capsule sealingly engages the receptacle for receiving well fluid from the annular space. A submersible pump is located inside the capsule. The pump has an intake that receives well fluid and a discharge that discharges the well fluid exterior of this capsule. The capsule has a valve in its inlet that when closed prevents leakage of well fluid from the capsule. The capsule may be retrieved through open sea without a riser.

  • Publication number: 20030221241
Abstract: The wrist or headband described herein is of composite construction, specifically, an essentially continuous elastic band or sleeve, which is anatomically conforming in overall dimensions to the approximate wrist or headband size of a wearer; and, a moisture absorbent material, associated with at least one end of the sleeve, to wick moisture from the interface of a wearer and the sleeve into a reservoir located on the exterior surface of the sleeve. The sleeve is preferably fabricated of the same material as the foam fabric used in the fabrication of a SCUBA diver's suit, specifically, a closed cell foam. The thickness of such materials is generally uniform throughout the device and designed to provide more than adequate thermal insulation for the source of cooling energy housed within the device. The sleeve is further modified on the interior surface thereof (also “skin contact surface”) to accommodate a source of thermal energy (also “chill pack”).
