  • Patent number: 11471730
Abstract: An isometric exercise system comprised of a network-enabled isometric exercise apparatus, force correction equations, and an isometric exercise companion software application. The isometric exercise apparatus can include force-receiving components, a measurement component, a pivot assembly, and a structural assembly. The measurement component can measure the amount of applied force. The pivot assembly can rotationally transfer the applied force to the measurement component. Force analysis of exercises can indicate that only a tangential component of the applied force is mechanically transferred to the measurement component via the pivot assembly. The force correction equations can translate the measured force into the tangential force transferred by the pivot assembly. The isometric exercise companion software application can present the amount of weight manipulated by the user to perform the exercise calculated using the force correction equation and the measured force.

  • Patent number: 6877826
Abstract: A shelf assembly has expandable shelves connected to upright legs that horizontally support the shelves in a locker. A drawer slidably mounted on one shelf for movement between open and closed positions engages a longitudinal rib to maintain the drawer generally horizontal when the drawer is moved to the out position. The drawer when in the closed position can be moved into a nested position in the shelf to facilitate packaging and display in a flat box. The legs having tight fit connections with the corners of the shelf.

  • Patent number: 5803275
Abstract: An article holding apparatus having front, rear, side and bottom walls of uniform thickness forming a box. The box has a slanted open top surface to provide easy access to writing instruments and supplies, and personal items. A middle wall extends generally parallel to the front and rear walls dividing the article carrying space of the box into a forward and rear portions. A plurality of transverse upright walls extend between the middle wall and the front wall further dividing the forward portion of the article carrying space into a plurality of forward pockets. An inner wall is located in a longitudinal plane above the bottom wall. Upright inside walls are joined to the inner wall and bottom wall to define an inner compartment open to the front thereof. A vertically slidable sheet member having an outer reflective surface is mounted on the front of the box. The sheet member encloses the inner compartment.

  • Patent number: 4357948
Abstract: A smoke filtering and cooling device is removably mounted within a cylindrical vertical passage in a tobacco smoking water pipe through which smoke is upwardly directed. The device comprises a selectively expandable/retractable portion which is engageable with the passage wall whereby the device is mechanically supported and a fluid-tight seal is provided so that a quantity of water can be retained in the passage around the device. The device further comprises or defines passageways whereby the smoke is directed through the water for filtering and cooling as it passes through the pipe. A plurality of devices may be arranged one above another in the same water pipe to increase efficiency.
